Miranda Lambert chuckles at fan’s ‘selfie’ tee post-concert.
Country Music Singer Miranda Lambert Breaks Silence on Controversy with Humor
Country music singer Miranda Lambert has finally addressed the controversy surrounding her criticism of fans taking photos at her shows, and she did it in a hilarious way.
During one of her “Velvet Rodeo” residency performances in Las Vegas, Lambert spotted a fan in the front row wearing a T-shirt that read, “Shoot Tequila, Not Selfies.” She couldn’t help but share the clever message with the crowd, who responded with enthusiastic applause. Lambert jokingly said, “She did it, I didn’t,” as she laughed.

“That’s bada**,” Lambert exclaimed to the fan wearing the shirt, before taking a sip from a small bottle of tequila.
This lighthearted response is a stark contrast to a recent incident where Lambert stopped mid-concert to call out fans taking photos. During her performance of “Tin Man,” Lambert noticed some ladies near the front row snapping selfies. She paused the music and expressed her frustration, saying, “These girls are worried about their selfies and not listening to the song. It’s pissing me off a little bit. We’re here to hear some country music tonight. And I’m singing some country damn music.”
While Lambert’s criticism received cheers from the audience, fans on TikTok had mixed reactions. Some defended the right of fans to enjoy the concert however they wanted, while others agreed with Lambert’s stance on selfies.
One of the fans who was called out by Lambert, Adela Calin, appeared for an interview on Newsmax to share her thoughts on the incident. Calin humorously remarked, “The last time someone pointed at me and told me to sit down is when I was in grade school and me and my friends did something that annoyed the teacher.” She stated that she will still listen to Lambert’s music but is done with the singer otherwise.
