The music video for “Used To Be Young” features Cyrus wearing a vintage Mickey Mouse T-shirt under a sparkling red top, reminiscent of her days on the Disney Channel. The video shows her facing the camera as the lighting changes, conveying a sense of mourning for her wild and carefree days.
The release of the song coincidentally falls on the 10th anniversary of two significant moments in Cyrus’ career: her controversial performance with Robin Thicke at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards and the release of her hit song ”Wrecking Ball.”
