Mexico arrests five people in connection with kidnapping of four Americans

MexicAn aFive people were arrested by uthorities in connection to the kidnapping and abduction of four children U.S. Mexican officials claim that citizens are affected.

The arrests were made by Irving Barrios Mojica on Friday, according to Tamaulipas’ attorney general. A sixth arrest was made in the last few days. In connection with the kidnappings of four Americans near Brownsville, Texas border, two of whom were killed, the five suspects have been charged with aggravated and simple homicide. The identities of the five suspects was not immediately known. Five were presented to authorities By the Gulf cartel.

“The #FGJT completed an arrest warrant against 5 people linked to the events of March 3 in #Matamoros for the crimes of aggravated kidnapping and intentional simple homicide. One more person, arrested in recent days, was linked to the process,” Mojica tweeted this Friday

Mojica posted the day before that authorities had taken five vehicles, including one stolen from the United States. It was part of an operation related to the March 3 deaths.
