During a recent episode of her podcast, Meghan Markle said that while she thinks reality TV shows like “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” are fun, “there will be no reality show” centered around her.
During the Duchess of Sussex’s Spotify podcast “Archetypes” on Tuesday, TV producer Andy Cohen — who has produced the “Real Housewives” franchises — came on the show and remarked that fans have asked him in the past if Markle will be joining “RHOBH.”
“I’m like, she ain’t joining the ‘Beverly Hills Housewives’ everybody, she’s Meghan Markle!” Cohen explained.

The former “Suits” actress said she had “never heard” about people wanting her to be on the show.
Cohen noted that maybe “RHOBH” wouldn’t be the right fit because she lives several hours away in Montecito.
“Yes, you mean really that this is my audition for ‘Real Housewives of Montecito?’ Is this the moment?” Markle joked, before Cohen said she “wouldn’t have to audition.” He then offered to create a “Real Housewives of Montecito” and promised to “build the show around” her.
“There will be no reality show, but I think it’s so fun,” the member of the royal family replied.
While fans won’t be able to catch Markle on a reality show any time soon, they will soon get a behind-the-scenes peek into the duchess and Prince Harry’s life with their two children, Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1, when their Netflix docuseries is expected to hit the streaming site December 8, as The Daily Wire previously reported.
The Duchess and Duke of Sussex reportedly were “having second thoughts on their own story, on their own project,” following the late Queen Elizabeth II’s death, a source shared with Page Six.
Other insiders have told with the outlet that the royal couple wanted to reportedly edit some more of content in the docuseries because there are parts of it that reportedly contradict what Prince Harry has written about in his upcoming memoir titled “Spare.” The duke’s book is expected to come out in January 2023, the outlet noted.
Meghan and Harry tied the knot in 2018. In March of 2020, the duke and duchess stepped down from their royal roles and eventually ended up leaving the United Kingdom, moving to Southern California where they now raise their children.
