Election Attack Bombshell Demands Passage Of SAVE Act

A country cannot be great without free and fair elections. Thursday night, President Donald Trump declassified a treasure trove of documents confirming what many of us already knew: Our elections are broken, compromised, and under attack.

Foreign adversaries, namely China, have infiltrated our voter rolls. Government bureaucrats buried the evidence for years. At least 278,000 noncitizens are registered to vote in federal elections, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), with the real number certainly far higher because leftist states refuse to cooperate.

The solution is the SAVE America Act. It requires a photo ID and proof of citizenship to vote. More than 80 percent of Americans support its major components, such as photo ID — including supermajorities of Democrats, minorities, and black Americans. Congress must pass it now. Failure to act is a failure of the republic.

China detests President Trump. Starting in mid-2018, the Chinese Communist Party launched a full-scale effort to influence that year’s elections and the 2020 presidential election, newly declassified documents reveal. The Chinese government allegedly paid to inject negative stories about the president into our media. More disturbingly, Beijing reportedly began infiltrating American voter records. In 18 states, the Chinese either purchased or stole sensitive voter information concerning tens of millions of Americans, according to a “sensitive government agency” document declassified by the president.

Over the years, China gathered voter records — including names, addresses, party affiliation, and other data — on more than 220 million Americans, according to another declassified document. This breach is by far the largest in American electoral history.

Even more alarming was the response of career intelligence officials, who should have informed President Trump immediately upon learning of China’s actions. Instead, these officials allegedly deliberately concealed the information. Not one person voted for these bureaucrats, whereas more than 62 million Americans voted for President Trump in 2016. Yet these arrogant officials had the nerve to hide material of the utmost importance from the duly elected president.

One released email shows a boastful bureaucrat admitting that the presidential daily briefing had been “deliberately massaged” to obscure what China had done. Another rogue official boasted about “a shadow government” independent of President Trump, according to released message records. These officials and others of their ilk epitomize the term deep state.

It gets worse. Intelligence assessments judged that American elections are vulnerable to penetration by adversaries such as China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, and even non-state actors. The same deep state figures who covered up for China also reportedly buried this crucial information.

Further, “between 2004 and 2020 … Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and his successor Nicolas Maduro demonstrated sustained interest in manipulating [Venezuelan] electoral outcomes through electronic voting systems,” according to declassified intelligence reporting. Intelligence analysts explored the feasibility of Maduro accomplishing this through a sophisticated electronic fraud scheme that could not be detected even through a careful audit, according to released documents. Maduro now sits in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn on drug trafficking charges, and those who allegedly concealed the information or otherwise engaged in voter fraud should join him in prison.

Jack Smith, the former Biden special counsel who departed in disgrace, charged President Trump with conspiracy against rights — specifically, the right to vote. Smith laughably claimed that President Trump had attempted to cancel out lawful votes by raising legitimate questions about the accuracy of the 2020 election. In reality, every illegally cast vote cancels out a lawful one.

Those who allegedly concealed China’s conduct prevented President Trump and Congress from taking steps to safeguard our elections. As if more evidence for the necessity of election safeguards were needed, President Trump also released FBI documentation of alleged election fraud in Michigan. In 2020 the Michigan State Police conducted a raid in the city of Muskegon, prompting FBI involvement in an investigation of alleged voter registration fraud. Individuals admitted to registering non-existent people to vote and forging information and signatures on voter registration cards in exchange for prepaid debit cards. The Justice Department under President Joe Biden slow-walked and buried this investigation; no one has been held accountable.

Every individual who participated in concealing this essential information should face the same charges Smith wrongly brought against President Trump. These officials violated their oaths by hiding information about election security. Leftists claim that President Trump is a threat to democracy. What these traitors did was the true threat to democracy. At least 278,000 foreigners are registered to vote in federal elections, DHS has found, and that already-astonishing figure is woefully incomplete because leftist states refuse to hand over their voter files to the federal government. Only American citizens can vote or register to vote in federal elections, and every foreigner who has voted or registered should be prosecuted and deported upon release from prison.

Congress must also act to secure our elections through legislation. The SAVE America Act will require all voters in federal elections to show photo ID and proof of citizenship. The law will also eliminate universal vote by mail, a scheme in which states send ballots to voters’ addresses even when voters have not requested them. This chaos resulted in California taking more than five weeks to certify last month’s primary. One 2024 California House race took four weeks to decide, with slightly more than 200,000 votes cast. By contrast, the Bush-Gore Florida dispute took five weeks, and that included two trips to the U.S. Supreme Court.

There is no good reason to oppose the SAVE America Act. Democrats have claimed that minorities and married women would be harmed, but it is deeply bigoted to argue that these groups lack the wherewithal to obtain IDs that are a routine part of everyday life. The core components of the legislation, photo ID and proof of citizenship, enjoy broad bipartisan support, including among minorities.

Democrats have threatened to filibuster the legislation. After all, as Sen. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., openly admitted last week, Democrats would have a hard time winning were it to pass. There is ample time to debate and pass this vital law. August is typically reserved for recess, but these are extraordinary times. The House commendably passed the law, and many states have codified its principles.

Unfortunately, leftist-run states have not and never will, and crucial House races in those states could determine the makeup of that body next year. The Senate has no excuse for inaction. The self-proclaimed world’s greatest deliberative body rushed to release Jeffrey Epstein’s files; our election integrity is infinitely more important. The Senate should remain in session until the law passes or the Congress ends on Jan. 3.

America should be, as President Ronald Reagan put it, “a shining city on a hill,” an example for the world in every respect, embodying the concept of American exceptionalism. Our elections, tragically, are no such example. Colombia recently held its presidential election far more efficiently than the United States did in 2020. Colombia may have better coffee, but America must run the best elections in the world. It now falls to prosecutors to punish those who allegedly concealed the rampant flaws in our systems and to Congress to secure elections for the future.

Pass the SAVE America Act. More than 80 percent of Americans demand it. Democrats pretend black Americans can’t get to the DMV. We all know the real reason they oppose this: They want noncitizens on the voter rolls. They want to rig elections. The SAVE America Act stops that.

We have 53 Republican senators. Line them up. Then squeeze the seven Democrats they need. They will fold. The Senate must stay in session until this law passes. We have a republic if we can keep it, and we will not keep it without the SAVE America Act.
