Media smears NC Republican as conspiracy theorist, celebrates Adam Schiff as Russia hoaxer
Rep. Adam Schiff, who faced censure for his role in the Russia hoax, emerged victorious in the race for Dianne Feinstein’s Senate seat. Schiff secured the Democratic nomination in the deep-blue state of California and will now go head-to-head with Republican baseball star Steve Garvey in the upcoming general election.
The mainstream media conveniently overlooked Schiff’s repeated abuses of power and his spreading of lies about his political opponents. As the chief tormentor of former President Donald J. Trump, Schiff has been hailed as a scourge of the MAGA movement and a top Trump foe.
The New York Times describes Schiff as the chief tormentor of former President Donald J. Trump, while Politico refers to him as a scourge of Donald Trump and his MAGA movement. Axios simply labels him as a top Trump foe.
Meanwhile, Republican Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson of North Carolina may have grounds to sue MSNBC and Slate for defamation after being labeled a Holocaust denier. Joy Reid of MSNBC used this term to describe Robinson following his victory in the GOP gubernatorial primary, and Slate initially ran a headline calling him a Holocaust denier.
The evidence presented by Slate to support this claim is weak at best. Robinson’s statements about the Holocaust do not come close to denying its occurrence. The press’s characterization of Robinson as a Holocaust denier is highly dishonest.
Below is all the evidence the Slate article presents to frame the gubernatorial nominee as a denier of the Holocaust:
The Holocaust
“There is a REASON the liberal media fills the airwaves with programs about the NAZI and the ‘6 million Jews’ they murdered. There is also a REASON those same liberals DO NOT FILL the airwaves with programs about the Communist and the 100+ million PEOPLE they murdered throughout the 20th century.”(He also, in a 2014 post, quoted Hitler without context.)
The quote from Adolf Hitler comes from The New Republic, which linked two Facebook posts to claim Robinson “has minimized the horrors of the Holocaust.” However, these posts do not amount to Holocaust denial.
“We often speak of the ‘appeasement’ of Hitler,” Robinson wrote in one. “But the biggest ‘appeasement’ of ALL TIME is how we turned a blind eye to the clear and present danger of MARXISM.”
“It is EXTREMELY distressing that many well-meaning and intelligent people are so focused on long-dead Hitler while the living political dissidents of Stalin are currently fighting to destroy our REPUBLIC,” Robinson wrote in the other.
The press can have their opinions about Robinson’s views, but to label him a Holocaust denier is extremely dishonest.
In stark contrast, Rachel Maddow of MSNBC positively described Schiff as a major player in Trump impeachments and investigations. When MSNBC announced Schiff’s victory in the Senate primary, Maddow highlighted his significant role.

How did the media wrongly tarnish Republican Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson’s reputation with weak accusations of being a Holocaust denier
Title: Rep. Adam Schiff Emerges Victorious in California Senate Race
Introduction:
In a significant development in California politics, Rep. Adam Schiff has secured the Democratic nomination for Dianne Feinstein’s Senate seat. Despite facing censure for his involvement in the Russia hoax, Schiff emerged victorious and will now face Republican baseball star Steve Garvey in the upcoming general election. While Schiff is hailed as a prominent figure by the mainstream media, his repeated abuses of power and spreading of false information about his political opponents cannot be overlooked.
Schiff’s Political Journey:
Adam Schiff, who gained notoriety as the chief tormentor of former President Donald J. Trump, has been widely celebrated as a scourge of the MAGA movement and a top Trump foe. The New York Times and Politico have referred to him as such, while Axios simply labels him a prominent Trump opponent. However, it is crucial to acknowledge the controversies surrounding his conduct and the misinformation he has spread.
Controversial Actions:
The mainstream media has conveniently overlooked Schiff’s repeated abuses of power and his dissemination of lies about his political opponents. One notable instance is his false claim of having evidence of treasonous Russia collusion, which was later proven to be baseless. Despite this, Democrat voters in California rewarded Schiff with a Senate nomination, demonstrating a disconcerting willingness to overlook his previous missteps.
Republican Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson’s Ordeal:
Meanwhile, in a similar vein, Republican Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson of North Carolina has found himself fighting allegations of being a Holocaust denier. Joy Reid of MSNBC and Slate initially labeled him as such following his victory in the GOP gubernatorial primary. However, the evidence presented by Slate to support their claim is weak at best, indicating a disregard for truth in the media’s characterization of Robinson.
Weak Accusations:
The evidence put forth by Slate comprises a quote where Robinson questions the media’s focus on Nazi atrocities without giving due attention to the millions killed under Communist regimes. Additionally, a 2014 post is cited where Robinson quoted Hitler without context. These factors have been used to claim that Robinson has minimized the horrors of the Holocaust. However, it is important to note that Robinson’s statements do not amount to Holocaust denial.
Conclusion:
The recent victories of Rep. Adam Schiff and Republican Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson in their respective political races highlight the importance of accurate and fair reporting by the media. While Schiff has been hailed as a prominent figure by mainstream outlets despite his dubious past, Robinson’s reputation has been wrongly tarnished through weak accusations. It is crucial to hold politicians accountable for their actions and to provide unbiased coverage to ensure the integrity of our democratic processes.
