Massachusetts deploys National Guard to address surge of undocumented immigrants.

Another day, another Democratic state is forced to face the consequences of their ‌own ⁤policies.

This time, Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey (D) has had to activate more‍ than 200 National Guardsmen to assist at hotels-turned-shelters as the Bay State continues to be inundated with thousands of illegal aliens. ⁤Of course, this whole crisis is happening because the Biden administration has completely abandoned the U.S. southern border.

Massachusetts Activates National Guard to Assist Emergency Shelters

According to Fox 25, 250 guardsmen will be stationed at shelters across Massachusetts to help provide “basic needs” until certain locations can find contractual labor.

“Massachusetts is in a state of emergency, and we⁣ need all hands-on deck⁢ to meet this moment and ensure families⁤ have access to safe shelter and basic services,” Healey said Thursday. “We’re grateful to the brave men and women of the National Guard for stepping up⁤ to help us ensure that every family in emergency shelter has their needs met,⁣ including access to food, transportation, medical⁤ care, and education. While we work to implement a more permanent⁤ staffing solution, the National Guard will provide an ⁣efficient and effective means of delivering these services and keeping everybody safe.”

Fox 25 noted that there are currently⁤ more than 20,000⁢ individuals living in emergency shelters​ in Massachusetts and most of those individuals are illegal​ immigrants.

Earlier this month, ⁢Healey declared a state of emergency over the crisis.

“It’s more families than our state has ever served, exponentially more than our⁣ state has ever served, in our ‍emergency assistance program,” Healey said ⁢ in early August. “Those numbers are being driven by a surge in new arrivals who have been through⁢ some of the ⁣hardest journeys imaginable. They are the face of the national—international—migrant crisis.‍ They’re here because where they came ​from is too dangerous to stay. They’re here ‍because Massachusetts⁢ has and will always be a beacon of hope, compassion, humanity‌ and⁤ opportunity.”

Massachusetts’ solution to the problem — much like other liberal states — has nothing to do with stopping the problem: A wide open border. The Democratic state is demanding that American taxpayers send them more‍ money via the federal⁣ government to provide more ‍free benefits to the illegal immigrants.

Anybody with half of a ‍brain sees that is unsustainable for a nation. According to one study, “at the start of 2023, the net ⁤cost of illegal immigration ⁣for the United States — at the federal, ⁣state, and local levels — was at least $150.7 billion.” Now, Blue States⁣ are asking for billions more to deal with a problem they created. Under the current ‍status quo, this problem is only going to increase. Biden has‌ no desire to ⁤secure the border.

Wouldn’t it be much cheaper —  and safer — to build a wall at the southern⁢ border and⁢ deport the illegal immigrants back to their home ⁤countries?
