Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene to Offer Articles of Impeachment Against FBI Director Christopher Wray
Exciting news! Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has just announced that she will be offering her articles of impeachment against FBI Director Christopher Wray as a privileged resolution. This move comes hot on the heels of Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) offering her own articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden.
Standing Up Against Corruption
In a fiery tweet, Greene expressed her frustration with Wray, accusing him of disrespecting the Oversight Committee and Chairman Comer. She claimed that Wray had shown them redacted versions of UNCLASSIFIED 1023 forms, which allegedly provided evidence of then VP Joe Biden accepting a $5 million bribe. “I won’t tolerate this level of disrespect and pure criminal corruption,” Greene declared.
By turning her resolution into a privileged resolution, Greene is ensuring that House procedures will require a vote on the matter within two days, regardless of House leadership’s approval. This is a bold move to hold Wray accountable for his alleged misconduct.
This isn’t the first time Greene has introduced articles of impeachment against Wray. Last month, as part of her “impeachment week,” she introduced articles against several Biden administration officials and the president himself. Greene is determined to take a stand against what she sees as political persecution and favoritism within the FBI.
According to Greene, Wray has not only targeted political opponents in a partisan manner but has also protected and shielded President Biden and his family. She referenced a senior FBI official who left the agency under accusations of covering up a laptop belonging to the President’s son, Robert Hunter Biden, during a criminal probe.
“It is unacceptable for the Director of the FBI or any civil officer to exercise his power in a way that targets one political class while doing favors for the other,” Greene stated passionately.
