“If it’s Vance or Rubio, they have a very good chance of winning if the economy is going well and if the Iran war is totally resolved,” Concha said on Fox Business’s Varney & Co. on Monday. “That would be a tough ticket to beat, whether it’s Vance-Rubio or Rubio and someone else.”
In a recent column, Concha detailed Rubio as a formidable candidate for the next presidential election cycle, dubbing the secretary of state the “MVP of Trump’s Cabinet.”
Concha explained that Vice President JD Vance could delay a presidential campaign, opting out of running in 2028 because his children are young. Vance’s wife, second lady Usha Vance, is pregnant with the couple’s fourth child.
“In JD Vance’s case, we forget he’s only 41-years-old,” Concha said. “If he runs for president, wins, and serves two terms, he misses basically the entire childhood of his four children.”
“Trust me, I have young children, you don’t want to miss out on this stuff,” he added. “I could see [Vance] saying, ‘You know what, maybe I’ll be around for that, maybe it’s Marco’s time.’”
The second couple has three children under 9: Ewan (8), Vivek (6), and Mirabel (4).
