March Madness 2023: Previewing men’s college basketball tournament

THe NCAA Released the bracket for the 2023 Division I men’s. Basketball tournament Sunday evening. It features the 68 teams that took part in the “big dance.”

The tournament opens Tuesday with the four first rounds, and Thursday will be the full round. Here are some headlines from the tournament.

The No. The No.

The No. The No. 1 seeds in each region are Alabama, South, Houston (Midwest), Kansas and Purdue.

Alabama is currently the No. They are the overall No. 1 team in the tournament. Their first match will be Thursday against the winner between Texas A&M Corpus Christi and Southeastern Missouri State.

Houston is the second seed overall and the betting favourite to win the tournament. They had a record of 31-3 in the regular season, but lost to Memphis in the American Athletic Conference championship match. They will be playing Northern Kentucky in Round 1 on Thursday.

Kansas, the reigning national champions will play Howard on Thursday. Purdue will then open against the winner in the fourth match between Texas Southern and Fairleigh Dickinson on Friday.

Potential ‘Cinderella’ teams

Unpredictability is the hallmark of Cinderella teams. These are teams that have unlikely success in the tournament. Notably, some underdog teams have interesting matchups during the first round.

College of Charleston, which is a 12th seed in the South region of the country, is set to be a Cinderella squad. In the first round, they will face San Diego State on Thursday. The team is “deep and balanced,” per NBC Sports Chicago is a good match for SDSU.
