Makeup Company Responds With ‘Facts’ That Throw Wrench Into Amber Heard Abuse Claims

A makeup company has responded to abuse claims made by Amber Heard against her ex-husband Johnny Depp, claiming a product Heard’s team suggested the actress used to cover up physical bruises from Depp was not actually released until after the couple divorced in 2017.

Heard’s legal team suggested during opening statements in the Depp defamation case against the actress that Heard was forced to carry Milani Conceal + Perfect All-in-One Correcting Kit during her relationship with Depp to cover abuse marks.

Milani brand took to social media to post a video outlining the claims by Heard’s legal team, and by contrast showing a catalog of the product’s launch date.

“You asked us … let the record show that our Correcting Kit launched in 2017!” Milani captioned a TikTok post.

“Take note: alleged abuse was around 2014-2016, got divorced 2016, makeup palette release date: December 2017,” the text over the video said, according to the New York Post.

In one comment on the post, Milani wrote, “We are here to provide the facts of the case.”

The intense trial last week included audio of Heard admitted to “hitting” Depp.

“I didn’t punch you, by the way,” Heard said in the provided audio. “I’m sorry that I didn’t hit you across the face in a proper slap. But, I was hitting you. It was not punching you.”

“You’ve been in a lot of fights, you’ve been around a long time,” she continued. “You didn’t get punched. You got hit. I’m sorry I hit you like this, but I did not punch you. I did not f***ing deck you. I f***ing was hitting you. I don’t know what the motion of my actual hand was.”

“I’m not sitting here b****ing about, am I? You are. That’s the difference between me and you. You’re a f***ing baby,” Heard added. “You are such a baby! Grow the f*** up, Johnny.”

Before the explosive audio was played in court, Depp testified that he “never” hit “Ms. Heard in any way, nor have I ever struck any woman in my life.”

“I’m obsessed with the truth, so today is my first opportunity that I’ve been able to speak about this case in full for the first time,” the actor said. “I felt a responsibility of clearing the record.”

Before the trial kicked off, Heard took to Instagram with a message expressing her “love” for Depp and suggesting the explosive op-ed she penned at The Washington Post wasn’t about her ex-husband after all.

“Johnny is suing me for an op-ed I wrote in The Washington Post, in which I recounted my experience of violence and domestic abuse,” the actress wrote. “I never named him, rather I wrote about the price women pay for speaking out against men in power.”

“I continue to pay that price,” Heard claimed, “but hopefully when this case concludes, I can move on and so can Johnny. I have always maintained a love for Johnny and it brings me great pain to have to live out the details of our past life together in front of the world.”

Heard has countersued Depp, seeking $100 million in damages, accusing the actor’s legal team of making false claims about her.
