Madonna Shrewdly Plays the Victim Card
You can’t craft a career like Madonna’s without playing the media … and us.
The Material Girl She didn’t have the most captivating hooks or the best voice. She boasted a little of everything – an attractive figure, a radio-friendly sound and lyrics that nailed the zeitgeist.
Her greatest talent? She was able to grab people’s necks. She was a rare peer in this regard.
Time hasn’t dulled that instinct.
At 64, the star, who is loved by the world and has all the resources that western society can offer her, is now a professional victim. She’s following in the footsteps of Meghan Markle, who proved you can claim victimhood status no matter your wealth, beauty or privilege.

Madonna introduced future Grammy winners Sam Smith and Kim Petras on Sunday’s Grammy telecast. The shocking sight that viewers saw was not related to the Satanic performance by the pop duo.
Madonna looked puffy, distorted and her face was impossibly smooth. it didn’t take a plastic surgeon to note the singer has had some work done. Memories of the late Joan Rivers’ face floated to mind, as did fellow pop superstar Michael Jackson.
So Twitter did what Twitter always does … weigh in on the subject with less than kind results.

Here’s why they’re wrong.
Madonna could have been brave and accepted her wrinkles while defying beauty standards.
“Hey world, this is 64, and I’m loving every second of it.”
This would be powerful, as a former sex symbol looking down on Father Time. Yasss queen! Instead, she held on to her youth with all of her might. It is now backfiring. Sadly.
She’s just mad we noticed.

Buried under the star’s new look is a terrible truth. Western culture allows men to get wrinkled up without any collective tsk -tsking. Clint Eastwood, Clint Eastwood and Liam Neeson are among the most famous aging stars. The cruel insults, however, are kept under control.
Attracting more attention for the sinful act of getting old, female stars, including rock stars and actresses, is a common reason why.
Madonna could have defied the imbalance and dare us to mock her for facing the reality we all live with.
What a subversive choice! Instead, she chose the surgical path, which was only available to the wealthiest.

Trailblazers don’t assume the fetal position and lash out at detractors. They continue to move forward, unaffected by the taunts coming their way.
Does she really want future Madonnas to spit on their faces in order to appease our youth-obsessed culture or is she just imagining it?
If so, that’s the most alarming part of Madonna’s new pose.
