Biden claims “White Supremacy” is America’s biggest threat in speech to Howard University graduates.

President Biden Claims White Supremacy is America’s Greatest Threat

President Joe Biden delivered the commencement address at Howard University, a historically black college and university, where he spoke about the ongoing battle against racism in America. However, his speech took a pessimistic turn when he claimed that the country’s greatest threat comes in the form of “white supremacy.”

A Battle That’s Never Really Over

Biden acknowledged that the fight against racism is a battle that’s never really over. He urged the graduates to be on guard against what he views as the most dangerous terrorist threat to our homeland: white supremacy. He received applause from the crowd when he made this statement, and he emphasized that he says it wherever he goes, not just at a Black HBCU.

A Veiled Shot at Trump

Biden also took a veiled shot at his opponent, former President Donald Trump, by saying that there are those who demonize and pit people against one another and those who do anything and everything to hold onto power, no matter how desperate or immoral. He encouraged the graduates to be the future of America, showcasing the strength of diversity at the center of American life.

Protests from Howard Students

Despite Biden’s attempts to encourage the graduates, some Howard students in the crowd protested the Biden administration’s apparent failure to stand up for African Americans. They held signs that read, “A Black child was lynched yesterday!” and “Biden and Harris don’t care about Black people.”

Determining America’s Future

Biden concluded his speech by telling the Howard grads that they represent the best of America. He emphasized that the oldest, most sinister forces may believe they’ll determine America’s future, but they are wrong. He believes that the graduates will determine America’s future, and that’s not hyperbole.
