Lululemon fires two workers for reporting masked robbers to police.

Two Lululemon Employees Fired for Doing the Right Thing

When three masked men pillaged a Lululemon store in Peachtree Corners, a suburb north of Atlanta, two employees took action. Former assistant manager Jennifer Ferguson and Rachel Rogers followed the robbers out of the store and called the police, who were able to track down and charge the perpetrators with felony robbery.

“No, no, no, you can march back out,” Ferguson yelled at the looters, who had allegedly struck the store several times before. “Chill, b—, shut your ass up,” one of the robbers yelled back before sprinting out the door.

Despite doing the right thing, Lululemon’s regional manager fired Ferguson and Rogers without severance. The Canadian-based company has a “zero-tolerance policy” on chasing or physically engaging with a thief. This incident highlights the struggles of many Democrat-run cities, including Atlanta, to curb spiking crime rates as progressive leaders‘ efforts to defund the police have backfired.

Atlanta’s Rising Crime Rates

Atlanta’s rising crime rates have left the city in chaos, so much so that one of its wealthier neighborhoods is pushing to secede and become its own city. In March, rioters protesting the construction of a new police training center hurled “large rocks, bricks, Molotov cocktails, and fireworks” at officers attempting to protect the site.

“We are not supposed to get in the way,” Ferguson said of the incident. “You kind of clear path for whatever they’re going to do. After it’s over, you scan a QR code. And that’s that.”

According to Ferguson’s husband, Lululemon management told the women it would “look bad for Lululemon to be the company calling the police.” This policy is not only dangerous for employees but also for customers and the community at large.

Take Action Against Rising Crime Rates

It’s time for progressive leaders to take action against rising crime rates and support law enforcement. We cannot allow companies to prioritize their image over the safety of their employees and customers. Let’s work together to make our communities safer.

  • Support law enforcement
  • Hold companies accountable for their policies
  • Advocate for safer communities

Together, we can make a difference.
