Country‌ Star Luke Bryan ⁣Apologizes ‍to Fans for Cancelled​ Shows

Country star Luke ​Bryan shared an update with his fans after axing‍ a third show on his Country on ⁣Tour concert‍ series due to‌ an illness.

The 47-year-old posted a message on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying he had a‍ “frustrating weekend” after postponing ⁢ a ​show in Utah on ⁣Friday, being forced to cancel another in Idaho on Saturday, and pulling⁣ out of a third in Washington‍ on Sunday at the Watershed Festival.

“Shedders, I am sorry to⁣ let you down but I‍ am not back singing ⁤– ⁢can hardly even talk⁢ still,”‌ Bryan ⁢posted to his 9.2 ⁣million followers.

“This festival is one of the most beautiful places ​we perform and one of ⁢the most fun ⁢crowds always,” he added. “I know my friends‌ on the show ​will⁢ bring a great time for you! ​Show them all what you got. Love ya – Luke.”

Replacement and⁣ Refunds

President of Live Nation Country, Brian O’Connell, later revealed that ‌Lainey Wilson would be filling in for Bryan, ⁤adding that a partial refund would be issued for ticket holders.

“We’re⁣ also going to be issuing a refund​ for 1/3 ⁤of your base price festival wristband for this⁢ lineup change,” O’Connell said. “The refund will ⁢be processed‌ within 10–14 days. It’ll be automatically credited. ‍There’s nothing‍ else that you ⁣need to ⁢do. We are so looking ​forward to an ‌amazing Sunday here at⁣ Watershed Festival.”

Hours before Bryan was set to take⁣ the stage on‍ Friday, the country superstar⁢ announced ‌he would ‌have to postpone his show in‌ Salt Lake City.

“Dear ‍Salt Lake fans, for the ​past couple​ of weeks I’ve been battling a head cold,” Bryan wrote. “I have been​ spending ⁤those ⁤days warming up and singing and have ‍been‌ able to perform.”

“Today⁤ I have followed the ‌same​ routine trying‍ to not give up‍ but I am just not getting better,” ‌he added. “I truly can not give you the show I want to give so I am going to have to ⁢postpone tonight’s show at ⁤USANA Amphitheatre ⁢to August 31, 2023.”
