This is a good sign but don’t expect Swamp Thing to enter pre-production until at least next year. Mangold’s immediate focus is Indiana Jones and The Dial of DestinyThe sequel to summer blockbuster ‘The Lego Movie 2’ has a chaotic production story marred by numerous reshoots as well as alleged poor screen tests. Added to that is the film’s costar Phoebe Waller-Bridge who reports claim has become an albatross on the franchise.

Mangold will have to downplay the anticipation and rumors for the fifth installment of the Indy saga. Once that is done, Mangold will turn his attention to a Bob Dylan biopic. A Complete Unknown Staring Dune’s Timothée Chalamet in the main role. As Deadline predicts, “Swamp Thing…would be very far out.”
