Listen As ‘Hi Ren’ Gives Countercultural Rebuttal To Godless Mental Health Industry

Gen Z has been referred to as the most mentally sick generation. The alarming rates of depression, suicide and self-harm among young people have professionals labeling it an epidemic. “epidemic.”

That’s the cultural context for “Hi Ren,” Ren Gill, an English musician and poet, creates a nine minute rhythmically and poetically brilliant blend of rap and singing.

“Hi Ren,” thrusts you into the harrowing internal battle within Gill’s tormented psyche. The Music video was shot inside a mental facility. Gill is wearing a hospital gown and is seated in wheelchairs. The song seems to be a vocal and visually representation of mental illness.

Gill switches between a frightening and demeaning version of himself and a positive, fulfilled part of himself throughout the song.

At first glance “Hi Ren” This song seems to be another one about mental health problems and inner turmoil. When the “good” Ren is looking for the “bad” Red to go, “bad” Ren replies, “You think that you can amputate me? I am you, you are me, you are I, I am we. We are one, split in two that makes one so you see? You got to kill you if you wanna kill me.”

Things take on a new, counter-cultural meaning when they “bad” Ren shows himself to be completely separate from the true Ren

I was created in the dawn of creation.
I’m tempted
I am the snake from Eden.
I am the reason you commit treason
All Kings beheaded
I am sin without rhyme or reason.
Lucifer, sun of the morning
Antichrist, father to lies
Mephistopheles,
Truth in a blender
Deceitful pretender,
The banished avenger
The righteous surrender
Standing in front of the solar eclipse
You can see my name on your lips.
I won’t bow to the will of a mortal, feeble and normal
Do you want to kill me? I’m eternal, immortal
Every decision that creates chaos I live with
This leads to division
I am the beginning of all ends, and I live within death.
Ren, I am you. You are me.

The song’s development reveals the earlier assertion. “bad” Ren is the exact same as “good” Ren is a malicious lie. “Bad” Ren is not Ren at all, but the Devil himself—the “father of lies.” He is “truth in a blender,” You can find more information at “deceitful pretender.”

Many people are plagued by psychological problems. This is because they have a deep-rooted belief in evil and sin. The term psychiatry is the treatment of the soul. Psyche can also mean soul. The modern mental health industry ignores the essence of what it seeks.

Modern mental health professionals are limited to treating superficial symptoms, as many of their practitioners and top-ranking colleagues deny the existence or existence of the soul. Because they are often unable or unwilling to source or cure mental illness properly, they resort to psychotropic drugs.

The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he doesn’t exist. There is nothing more amazing than convincing the world that he doesn’t exist.
