Lindsey Graham to Go on Taxpayer-Funded Luxury Trip to Africa with Five Dems

Sen. Lindsey Graham According to reports, the senators will travel to Africa on a taxpayer-funded safari with five Senate Democrats.

This trip will take you to Botswana and South Africa as well as Morocco.

It appears that the excursion was conducted under the pretense of conducting “fact-finding missions, focused on the fight against HIV/AIDS through site visits, meetings/briefings, and informal substantive meals designed to provide a frontline look at the impact of U.S. Government investments in PEPFAR [U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief],” Punchbowl News has compiled an itinerary revealed.

Graham will be joined at the podium by Demcorat senators Chris Coons, Chris Van Hollen, Mark Kelly (D–AZ), Martin Heinrich and Bob Menendez(D–NJ).

Although senators don’t appear to have any medical history, Coons was made an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters in 2018 by Delaware State University.

Cindy McCain, who is the U.S. ambassador at the U.N. agriculture and food agencies, will also be there “CODEL,” An acronym for taxpayer-funded trips for members of Congress

You can find their “fact-finding mission,” The American officials will go on safari in South Africa this week, and they will visit Victoria Falls, the largest waterfall in the world.

“On Friday, the group will head to Botswana, where the itinerary says the recommended attire is ‘rugged casual,'” Punchbowl reported.

Friday and Saturday are packed with ‘conservation observations,’ which appear to be safari trips,” the outlet added.

The CODEL will spend the last day in Casablanca doing nothing before heading back to Washington, DC.
