Libs Still Defending Suppressing COVID Debate Even After Being Proved Wrong

Others intelligence agencies differ and the matter is still unresolved. Being a fairly intelligent person, I concluded that the most likely source of the virus was a laboratory leak. However, nobody seems to care if I blame millions upon careless Chinese scientists funded through Anthony Fauci. The US accusing China could cause a crisis in international relations in the Pacific.
Also, the standard for proof would be quite high if one were part of the intelligence community.
It is amazing to see the reaction to the DoE’s reconsideration. During the pandemic, the discussion on the lab-leak hypothesis was outlawed on social media. “fact checkers” The lab-leak theory is often called “the lab-leak hypothesis”. “debunked.” The former was dictatorial, the latter was disincentive propagandistic narrative enforcement.

Numerous stories were written about the fact that the lab leak theory was just a right-wing conspiracy theory. Both the MSM (and the Left) even used it. “proof” It was clear that the lab leak theory was inexplicable as evidence that any person who suggested this possibility was a xenophobic conspiracy theorist. He should be exiled and removed from policy discussions about COVID response.
Yeah, well. But not so much.
It is not clear how COVID got into the population. However, there is one thing that is obvious: The lab leak theory is an acceptable one. Scientists, intelligence agencies, as well as ordinary citizens, are all in active disagreement about the likely cause. People who are not part of the public healthcare establishment are also more likely be objective. “scientists” The research that would have lead to the release the virus from a lab if it were released by them was actively funded.
In other words, MSM was propagating the narrative that the most likely people to feverishly cover-up a lab leak if one occurred. Publicly exposing the people responsible for millions of deaths is not something anyone wants.
It’s possible to cover it up, in fact. Most people don’t shrug it off and just say “my bad.” Nobody wants to be remembered as an epic mass murderer.

What is, or at least should be remarkable is how many of the Best People™ are unwilling to acknowledge that suppressing discussion was a terrible, horrible, no good very bad thing. Instead of simply saying that the virus is natural, which is possible, they insist that discussions about its origin should be suppressed.
Because people believed things that might have been true. That is unacceptable.
Nate Silver started a Twitter conversation that gained some traction. It was amazing to see how many people believed that the whole censorship thing is OK, even though it could be true.

James Fallows, a prominent media personality and public intellectual of some note, is an example of a prominent member. His argument is, basically, a simple one. “so what if we suppressed debate?” Until you can prove the contrary, we will insist that people are silenced.
Because we, the Elite™, should have a monopoly on Truth™ and debate.
James’ position drew a lot of support, and it was pretty much based upon the notion that you have to shut up Bad People™ even if Bad People™ are closer to the truth than you are. (Which begs the question: if you are wrong about this, are you really the Good People™?)
These wonderful people all agreed that it is good to suppress debate because those who disagree with the Elite consensus are not good people.
They are obviously bad, irresponsible people who push conspiracy theories. This conclusion was based on the belief that Fauci, his company, were always right, because they are the experts. Anyone who disagreed with Fauci was a murderer in wait.
Fauci again would have been the man to fund that lab leak if it ever happened. I believe that you must take this into consideration when determining who has a greatest incentive to lie.
Except he is of the Right Class™ and a hero to the Elite, so best attack everybody who disagrees with him.
A lot of effort was spent suppressing the discussion about COVID’s history. Politifact and The Washington Post, The New York Times, all MSM outlets, as well as social media companies, mobilized to attack anyone who mentioned it. It was an Orange Man theory which needs to be debunked.

Because we all know the basics, I won’t go through it all. People were excommunicated and censored because they said something that I deemed more likely to be true than not. This is certainly a respectable opinion both among scientists and intelligence agencies.
We were suppressed as the Elite wasn’t fighting against death and disease, but Orange Man and his supporters.
It is really that simple. COVID was just one excuse to attack Trump and his supporters. Fauci and Trump were separated by the media. Remember how they tried to get Fauci to fire Trump? and then they embraced Fauci as The Science™, a role he reveled in.
Fauci funded the research that led to the pandemic, and I cannot stress this enough.
This man was literally the least credible person in the world who could possibly have asked if it had happened. He was not guilty because we know it, but because his desire to dissemble the lab leak theory was too great.
It is clear that these facts show that our insistence on attacking any person skeptical about the zoonotic origin of COVID’s zoonotic nature was based only upon ideology. A large number of our public intellectuals seem to be completely ignorant to the truth.
