Liberal Nutcase Resigns From Massachusetts Library After Attempting to Ban Display of Christmas Trees

One of the people responsible for attempting to ban the display of Christmas trees from a Massachusetts library has resigned from her position following a threatening, expletive-filled rant posted to social media.

Diane Loud, a member of the Dedham Human Rights Commission (HRC), was so upset that members of her community were fighting the town’s decision to not display Christmas trees at the library, that she posted an angry, unhinged rant on Facebook directed at members of the Dedham Public Library.

Lisa Desmond, the library branch manager whose social media post almost two weeks ago brought widespread attention to this story, incurred the bulk of Loud’s wrath.

“Lisa Desmond: F*CK YOU. You knew what you were doing. You spent days batting aside the people who asked you to ratchet this back,” Loud wrote in her post.

Her rant continues, “‘Everyone will tell you I’m the most inclusive person ever!’ Everyone will tell me that you are a selfish f**king b**ch who does not care about anyone but herself. For a tree? For a motherf***ing TREE? You have put people’s lives in a lot of danger. A LOT of danger. For a motherf***ing Christmas tree…”

Loud responded in particular to Desmond’s original post that decried the town’s decision to not put up the Christmas trees, a post that got the attention of Jesse Watters at Fox News Primetime and subsequent widespread condemnation.

“I found out today that my beautiful library will not have it’s Christmas tree this year. Zero explanation. When I asked, I was told ‘people’ were made uncomfortable last year looking at it. I’m sorry WHAT? In my 28 years at the Dedham Public Library, I have never heard a negative comment…” Desmond wrote.

Loud then turns her attention to others who fought the decision.

“In closing I would like to add a final round of F**K YOU, YOU PIECES OF TRASH. I hate each and every one of you and I do wish great suffering on you. You are terrible, terrible people.”

Shortly afterward, the HRC announced Loud’s resignation in a Facebook post.

“HRC Member Diane Loud has stepped down from her position on the Dedham Human Rights Commission. We sincerely appreciate Diane’s service and look forward to working with the Commission on Disabilities to find a representative to take her place,” the announcement said.

A meeting of the Dedham HRC took place on Tuesday, the first such meeting since Lord’s post, where all members in attendance unanimously voted to strongly disavow her statement.

“Ms. Loud was not speaking for the HRC when she posted and her post does not represent the values and work of the HRC. We apologize to all of those harmed by Ms. Loud’s comments,” the commission posted on Facebook.
