Left-wing Arabella Advisors ends association with Palestinian charity linked to terrorism.

Two Democratic-Tied Dark Money Groups Cut Ties with⁤ “Progressive” Charity Over Terror Links

In a shocking revelation, ‌two groups within the largest Democratic-tied dark money network in the United States have decided to part⁣ ways with a “progressive” charity in Arizona. This⁤ comes after ‌a Washington Examiner investigation exposed the charity’s connections to ⁣Palestinian terror groups.

The charities in question, New Venture ⁤Fund and Windward Fund, both managed by the liberal consultancy Arabella Advisors, had previously allocated $473,000 between 2020 and 2021 to the Alliance for Global Justice. However, they have now announced that they will no longer be providing grants to this Arizona nonprofit organization. This decision ‍follows the withdrawal of support from four payment ⁣processors⁣ this ⁣year due to the group’s links to ‌the Popular Front for ‌the Liberation of Palestine terror group.

Denouncing Terrorism and Violence

“We condemn terrorism and violence against civilians ⁢in all forms and do not support any projects or provide any grants to organizations that fund terrorism,” stated New Venture Fund President Lee Bodner. “New Venture Fund⁢ is discontinuing grants to ⁣any projects hosted by ⁢Alliance for ⁤Global Justice.” Windward Fund President Lynn McNair echoed this sentiment, affirming⁤ that the charity “is no longer providing grants to organizations that are sponsored by Alliance for Global Justice.”

McNair further emphasized, “Our‍ organization⁤ does not support terrorism in any form and strongly denounce any violence against‍ civilians.”

This revelation is ⁤expected to have a significant impact on the financial stability of the Alliance for Global Justice. In 2023, the organization lost the ability ⁣to accept credit card donations after PayPal, Stripe, Salsa Labs, and Deluxe terminated their services. Through fiscal sponsorship, the Alliance for Global Justice provides various services for left-wing projects, including‍ the Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner‌ Solidarity Network, which‌ is designated as a terror group by⁢ Israel and‍ has shared staff members with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

Samidoun ⁤has been actively organizing pro-Palestinian‍ rallies worldwide following Hamas’ recent deadly terror attack against Israel. For example, the group posted‍ images online of activists distributing candy to Berlin protesters in celebration of Hamas, prompting the German government to ban Samidoun. Since⁤ October 7, over 1,400 Israelis ⁣have lost their lives in connection to the ongoing conflict.

PayPal has previously closed‍ accounts for both Samidoun and its French coalition member, Collectif Palestine Vaincra, due to their⁤ ties to terrorism. In January, ⁢the Alliance for Global‍ Justice was accused in an IRS complaint of ‌assisting Collectif Palestine Vaincra in fundraising, which violates federal law. Additionally, the Arizona group sponsors ⁣the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel, a⁢ pro-Palestinian⁢ group that was recently removed ⁤from the Democratic fundraising platform ActBlue.

Alliance for Global Justice, which claims to sponsor 130 projects, has now removed its webpage showcasing these projects, leading to uncertainty about the current number. The organization also supports the boycott, divestment, and sanctions movement against ⁣Israel and sponsors the Lajee ‍Center, whose director has shared videos on social media depicting Palestinian children engaged in violent clashes with Israel’s military.

Tax attorneys have argued that any organizations collaborating with the Alliance for Global Justice may be providing material support to terrorism.

In‍ November 2022, the New Venture ⁤Fund clarified that its $38,000 grant to the Alliance for Global Justice in 2021 was ⁣specifically for the “Philly Thrive” project, which focuses on climate⁤ issues and aims to clean‌ up and repurpose land in Philadelphia that previously housed an oil refinery.⁤ The Windward Fund also stated that its grants to the charity were intended to support environmental cleanup in New ⁢York City.

It is worth‌ noting that other grantmakers, including Arnold Ventures, have also severed ties with the Alliance for Global Justice. Arnold Ventures is an LLC funded⁢ by former Enron executive and retired hedge fund manager ⁤John Arnold and his wife, Laura Arnold, a former lawyer for Cobalt International Energy.

Alliance for Global Justice did not respond to a request for comment.

‌How can greater scrutiny be applied to the allocation of dark money funds to prevent support for organizations with ties to terrorism and violence?

Palestinian terror attacks, and the situation remains volatile in the region.

The Dark Money Network

The decision by New Venture Fund and Windward Fund to sever ties with the Alliance for Global Justice sheds light on⁣ the shadowy network of dark money‌ that operates within the Democratic Party. Arabella Advisors, the liberal consultancy responsible for managing these funds, has been instrumental in funneling hundreds of millions of dollars towards left-wing initiatives and causes. And yet, it⁤ appears that proper ⁣due diligence has not been exercised in vetting the recipients of these funds.

The connections between the Alliance for ⁤Global Justice and Palestinian⁤ terror groups raise serious questions about the transparency and accountability of the entire dark money ‍network. How ⁤could⁢ such ⁣links have‌ gone unnoticed for so long? ⁤It is crucial that greater⁣ scrutiny is ⁣applied⁢ to the allocation‌ of these funds to prevent ⁣the support of ⁣organizations with ties‍ to terrorism ⁤and violence.

A Stain on Progressive Values

This investigation has not ‌only exposed the failure of‌ oversight within the dark money network but also⁣ casts a shadow on the progressive movement as ‌a whole. The‍ Alliance for Global Justice has positioned itself as a “progressive” charity, advocating for social justice and human rights. However, its ties to terror groups severely undermine the ⁣credibility and ‍legitimacy of its work.

Progressive values should ⁣be rooted in peace, equality,⁤ and justice. Supporting organizations that have affiliations with terrorism is ‍antithetical to these principles. The decision by New ‍Venture Fund and Windward Fund to distance themselves from the ⁢Alliance for Global Justice is a step in the right ‍direction, but more must be done ⁣to ensure that dark money is not funneled towards causes that contradict the values it claims to uphold.

The Path Forward

This revelation should serve as a wake-up call for both the dark money network and the progressive movement. It is imperative ⁤that greater transparency, accountability, and due⁢ diligence are implemented in the⁣ allocation of funds. ⁢Comprehensive ‌vetting processes should be established to ⁣ensure that⁤ organizations with ⁤links to‌ terrorism are not supported.

Furthermore, there needs to be a broader discussion within the progressive movement about the definition of progressiveness and how it aligns‌ with the values of peace, non-violence, and humanitarianism. This incident should prompt soul-searching and a ⁣reevaluation of the ‍organizations and causes that receive financial support.

The fight for ⁤social justice and‍ equality must be conducted with integrity and in adherence to the principles of non-violence. The dark money network and⁢ its beneficiaries have a responsibility to ensure that ⁤their funds⁤ are being used for the betterment of society, not to perpetuate violence and terror.

A Call for Accountability

It is ⁣imperative‌ that those⁣ responsible for ⁢overseeing the allocation of dark money take‌ this issue ⁢seriously. The connection between the Alliance for Global⁣ Justice and Palestinian terror ‍groups cannot be brushed aside or ignored. A thorough investigation should be ⁣conducted to understand ⁢how such links were established and how⁢ they were allowed to persist for so long.

Additionally, political leaders, activists, and ‌organizations within the progressive movement must hold themselves accountable. ‌This means conducting internal reviews, reevaluating partnerships and affiliations, and ‌taking decisive action to ensure⁢ that funds are not being directed towards organizations with connections to terrorism.

The democratic process relies on trust, transparency, and accountability. This incident puts all three of these facets into ‌question. It is time for the dark money network and the ‌progressive movement to step up and ⁢demonstrate ⁣their commitment ‍to these core principles. Only through such‌ actions ⁣can trust be restored and progress truly achieved.
