Lawsuit Alleges New York Trans Teacher ‘Forced’ 5th-Grader To Change Name, Pronouns

New York teacher of male-to female transgender in New York manipulated fifth-grade girl into adopting a male name, pronouns, and this, according to a lawsuit.

According to a Forensics Debra Rosenquist (five-grade teacher at Terryville Road Elementary School, Port Jefferson Station) filed the complaint in Suffolk County Court. “forced” The child was required to use pronouns and a male name. While the parents were open to the possibility of a name change if requested by their child, they doubted that their daughter would want to identify herself as a man. Rosenquist is the plaintiff in this lawsuit. “pursued her own agenda outside the curriculum, which included persuading her 5th-grade students to try ‘being gay’ or being another gender even when they were not.” 

“To further her agenda, Rosenquist read and provided her students graphic books about gender and sexuality which were not on the curriculum,” The suit was alleged.

Rosenquist published a LGBT-themed book titled “I am Neither” Rosenquist reportedly kept the book in the classroom. Rosenquist also read, he allegedly said. “When Aidan Became a Brother,” It was a book that covered chemical and surgical child sex changes, but it wasn’t part of the official curriculum. Rosenquist had at least one non-curricular book in his classroom after an investigation.

Parents learned that Rosenquist had been accused of physical abuse. However, nothing was done due to Rosenquist’s tenure as a teacher. 

According to the suit, parents met with school principal, superintendent, assistant superintendent in February 2022. The administrators acknowledged that the issue wasn’t handled correctly and that they didn’t know about Rosenquist’s off-curriculum material. 

The parents accuse the school of negligence for failing to adequately supervise and train staff. According to the lawsuit, the student is being bullied and excluded by her classmates because she was transferred to another classroom. After having to pay for legal fees and psychological treatment for their daughter’s injuries, the family is now suing for unspecified damages. They claim that the ordeal caused humiliation, anxiety and emotional pain for the child.

According to the lawyer representing the family, their daughter still identifies as a female. 

“At no point did she identify as male,” Wabnik said. “The notion that she identified as male was foisted upon her by Rosenquist.”

“The psychological and social damage Rosenquist caused this child and her family was immense,” She added. Rosenquist was, according to reports, removed from the classroom and is now teaching younger pupils. 

“Incredibly, the district still has Rosenquist in the classroom where she can similarly harm other innocent children,” said Wabnik.

Jennifer Quinn, superintendent of Comsewogue school district, stated in a Statement Fox News “After a thorough investigation and consultation with our attorney, action is [being] taken in accordance with applicable laws and collective bargaining agreements. Please be assured that this has been done.”
