Kyle Rittenhouse accuses University of Memphis of allowing protest disruption at his event

Kyle Rittenhouse ‌Opens Up About University of Memphis Event ⁢Disruption

Kyle Rittenhouse recently shed ⁣light on⁢ the tumultuous events⁢ that unfolded during his appearance at the University of Memphis, where⁢ protesters vehemently ‌disrupted his speech.

“We⁣ didn’t want the⁢ people at ⁢the event to know when I was⁤ leaving because‍ we ⁢did not want to give‍ them an opportunity to mobilize and⁤ start shutting ‌down the roads, making a security risk for me,”

Rittenhouse, speaking on Fox News’s The Ingraham Angle following his engagement at‍ the Turning Point USA event, revealed that⁢ the disruption ‌began just minutes into his prepared remarks. Despite the challenging circumstances, he valiantly ‌attempted to engage with the protesters and field their questions before departing with his security team.

University’s Role in the Disruption

Expressing disappointment in the University of Memphis, Rittenhouse highlighted ⁢how⁣ the institution’s decision to revoke Turning‌ Point USA’s ticketing system and implement ⁣its own scheme⁢ paved the way for premeditated disruption.

“What happened yesterday was the University of Memphis revoked Turning⁢ Point USA’s ticketing system and alerted the protesters before anybody else, allowing them to book all the tickets and ⁤potentially harass me,”

Outside⁤ the event⁣ center, around two hundred protesters brandished signs with incendiary messages aimed at Rittenhouse. The hostile atmosphere escalated as‌ some demonstrators even pursued event attendees, blocking vehicles in the vicinity.

Ensuring ⁣Safety Amidst Adversity

Rittenhouse underscored the critical importance of managing his departure discreetly to mitigate security ⁢risks, emphasizing the potential threats he could have faced if the situation had escalated further.

The Turning Point USA event wasn’t Rittenhouse’s first brush with disruption, as a prior free speech rally‍ featuring him was canceled due ⁢to threats, showcasing the ongoing challenges⁣ he faces in exercising his right to speak freely.
