KJP: “Pure Coincidence” That Biden Saw No Illegals in El Paso

It’s up to you to give it to the Biden administration. Although they may not be the best at gaslighting, they continue to try.

Normal practice would be perfect. However, the MSM refuses call them out on their deceitful behavior.

A perfect example was this exchange between Fox News’ Peter Doocy and Karine Jean-Pierre, in which KJP literally said that no migrants “happened to be” Biden was at El Paso’s migrant assistance facility on the day he visited.

Seems plausible. You mean, how many migrants can there be in El Paso? We are constantly told that the border is “secure,” and Biden didn’t see any migrants at the facility he visited, or sleeping on the streets of El Paso, so perhaps the problem isn’t that big anyway. Biden can speak for himself. “I came, I saw, I conquered the border crisis!”

Take a look at the Rio Grande without any border crossings the day Biden visited. The problem was magically solved by his visit.

It’s almost as if making an effort to stop people from crossing the border results in fewer border crossings, and if you make an effort to clean up the streets of El Paso life would get better for the people of the city.

It’s just spitballing. My analytical skills might be lacking as it has been many decades since I earned my degree. KJP may be right, and it was completely coincidental that Biden saw no migrants crossing Rio Grande on the day he visited.

Coincidences do happen. To believe that the federal government pulled an elaborate Potemkin Village stunt would be conspiracy theorist. KJP told me it would be wrong for me to believe so. El Paso’s lack of any migrants the day of Biden’s visit had nothing to do with enhanced enforcement ordered by the Administration to ensure that Biden got some good photos of him proving there really isn’t a problem.

Democrats are famously good at solving the problem of homelessness and securing the border, so why wouldn’t we believe KJP’s assertion that migrants “just happened” to be elsewhere during Biden’s visit. It is absurd to expect that the shelter Biden visited would be overflowing. There isn’t a single migrant in the city. Therefore, it would be normal for a shelter for migrants to be empty when he visits.

One of the wonderful parts of KJP’s back and forth with Doocy was her actually bragging that border crossings dropped suddenly with Biden’s visit. This is evidence, you see that Biden is all for border security.

Is the gaslighting a success? Except with his core constituency, it is unlikely. Biden is trying his best to reach people who have a fixed opinion on the border crisis. He is not trying to convince those who believe he has done the same thing with the Afghanistan withdrawal.

He needs to convince just enough people that the probably isn’t serious. His primary strategy for reelection will be to keep his base very excited and scare people around Trump and/or DeSantis. This strategy is likely to work if Trump is his opposition. It is unlikely that it will work if DeSantis, his opponent, is as frightening to Independent voters.

The Fox News watchers know what is happening in El Paso; Biden’s pitch is to voters who will look at the pretty photos of ol’ Joe “caring deeply,” They were blaming the media.

My favorite reaction to El Paso’s rapid cleanup was Biden’s suggestion that he visit San Francisco next. This will allow the city to quickly clean up the homeless program and prove that it is not a problem.

Are people able to see past the gaslighting or are they content to hear a comforting tale about how everything is fine?

We’ll see what happens in 2024. However, the 2022 elections have lowered our hopes.
