Kirk Cameron and Brave Books gather huge crowds in library event across 46 states: ‘Amazing!’
Thousands of Families Attend Kirk Cameron’s “See You at the Library” Event
Over the weekend, thousands of children and their families gathered at libraries across multiple states for Kirk Cameron’s “See You at the Library” event. This exciting event, organized in collaboration with Brave Books, Cameron’s faith-based children’s book publisher, brought families together for story hours and more.
A Remarkable Turnout
According to Zach Bell from Brave Books, a total of 304 story hours took place in 46 states. The participation was truly incredible, with families showing up in large numbers to support the event.
One of the libraries that participated was the Madison Public Library in Huntsville, Alabama. Initially, there were concerns about capacity, leading to the cancellation of their participation. However, they later reinstated the gathering, allowing 225 people to attend, which was the meeting room’s capacity limit.
Emily Jones, the chair of the Madison, Alabama chapter of Moms for Liberty, expressed her delight with how the day unfolded. She described it as a wild ride and an experience beyond her expectations.
While 225 people attended the story hour at the Madison Public Library, an additional 300 individuals gathered at a nearby church in Huntsville, serving as a secondary location. Jones mentioned that finding a location was not an issue, as it seemed that divine intervention had already taken care of it. She praised the volunteers for their efforts in making the event possible.
A Message of Faith and Unity
During the event, Kirk Cameron read from his faith-based children’s books, “As You Grow” and “Pride Comes Before the Fall.” Riley Gaines, a women’s sports advocate, also spoke at both locations. Despite the presence of over 100 protesters, Jones commended the local law enforcement for their support in maintaining a peaceful atmosphere.
In his address to the families, Cameron expressed gratitude for their attendance and even thanked the protesters for helping to spread the message of the story hours. He emphasized the importance of love, faith, and family values in today’s society.
Cameron’s efforts extended beyond Alabama, as he also visited libraries in Tennessee and Texas. Other notable figures, including Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb, podcaster and author David Harris Jr., and former mobster Michael Franzese, made appearances at library gatherings across the country.
Inspiring Others to Take Action
Brave Books reported that the “See You at the Library” event inspired many parents and grandparents to host their own story hours. Trent Talbot, the CEO of Brave Books, expressed his encouragement at the willingness of parents to acknowledge the challenges their children face and take action to address them.
Kirk Cameron shared his vision for the future, stating that he hopes to continue growing the movement of families reclaiming traditional values and biblical morals. He emphasized the importance of parents and grandparents taking a leadership role in shaping the moral, spiritual, and economic landscape of the country.
As part of this mission, Cameron revealed that he is currently working on a third children’s book, which will focus on showing love to those who hold different opinions or may even be considered enemies.
