Kellyanne Conway Predicts Biden Will Run Again in 2024

Kellyanne Conway, a White House adviser during the Trump administration, said on Thursday that she fully expects President Joe Biden to seek reelection in 2024.

“There’s no reason for him to step aside if you’re the Biden family and even if you’re Joe Biden,” Conway said on Fox & Friends

“This is a guy who thinks he’s FDR. The rest of us think he’s MIA. But nobody ever levels with him. Nobody tells him this isn’t going well,” she told Fox News host Steve Doocy, who called her prediction “Run, Joe, run.”

Conway, the first woman to manage a winning presidential campaign, pointed to recent polls and Democrats noticeably creating distance between their campaigns and the president during the midterm elections as proof that Biden’s become unpopular.

But, she said, once “you’ve got the job, you want to keep the job.”

BIDEN, 80, DOGGED BY QUESTIONS ABOUT PHYSICAL HEALTH DURING NANTUCKET THANKSGIVING

“It’s much harder to dislodge a sitting president by its party than people realize,” Conway added, pointing to the unprecedented experiences of one-term presidents such as Jimmy Carter and George H.W. Bush.

Questions about Biden’s mental acuity and physical health have also risen, especially after the president turned 80 years old last weekend.

Conway said he should give up the job and make way for a younger candidate.

“If I were making an argument to him as to why he should step aside, I’d say, ‘Joe Biden, you’re every second of 80 years old, and you’ve done these great things. … It’s time to pass the baton to the next generation,’” she said.

Vice President Kamala Harris would be the obvious choice should he choose not to run, Conway noted. But her popularity is worse than his, and losing 19 staffers shows “just how difficult it is for her to communicate” and “to inspire,” she said.

“I think the inability for him to pass [the baton] to Kamala Harris is probably his best job protection,” Conway said.

Biden has said that it is his “intention” to run again in 2024 but that he would talk it over with his family and make an announcement sometime next year.

Even as the midterm elections strengthened Biden’s hand, with Democrats retaining the Senate and losing fewer seats than expected in the House, exit polls showed two-thirds of voters do not want him to run again.

So far, former President Donald Trump is the only one to declare his candidacy.

The divided government in 2023 could make it even more difficult to pass legislation in the next Congress, but Conway said that shouldn’t stop Republicans, who will have the House majority, from trying.

“It doesn’t matter what happens to it. Once it passes the House, if it dies in the Senate, if it dies on the president’s desk, that should be no excuse for not making good on their promises … to act on behalf of the American people,” Conway said.

“They’ve got to find a couple of Democrats who’ve had it with their party’s wokeness,” she added.
