Kari Lake wins nod for GOP vice president in CPAC poll, tops DeSantis and Haley
Former Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake In a, he beat several other Republicans Conservative Action Political Conference straw poll For the vice-presidential nod of the party.
Lake was the top-ranked candidate for nearly 30 GOP contenders The vote was won by 20% more than the former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Lake’s campaign expressed gratitude to Lake for her support, but stated that she was unable to continue to serve.
“We’re flattered, but unfortunately our legal team says the Constitution won’t allow for her to serve as Governor and VP at the same time,” Lake Campaign noted.

Lake repeatedly rejected Arizona’s gubernatorial electoral loss last year.

DeSantis won 14% in the poll for vice-presidency. He has not yet announced any 2024 plans. Haley was the one to announce.
