Justice Thomas criticized affirmative action in 2007, and the left continues to validate his stance.

Supreme Court Rules Against Race-Based Admissions in Landmark Decision

In a groundbreaking 6-3 decision announced on Thursday, the Supreme Court declared that colleges and universities are in violation of the 14th Amendment when they consider race as a factor in the admissions process.

Justice Clarence Thomas, who joined the majority, has long been a vocal opponent of race-based admissions, having personally experienced the stigma associated with it throughout his career.

“Once it is assumed that everything you achieve is because of your race, there is no way out,” Thomas explained in a 2007 interview with ABC News.

This ruling provided Thomas with an opportunity to further express his objections to race-based preferences.

Steve Guest, a former adviser to Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, shared excerpts from Thomas’s response to dissenting Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson on Twitter.

Thomas criticized Jackson’s argument, stating that it “locks blacks into a seemingly perpetual inferior caste” and undermines individual achievement.

Former first lady Michelle Obama, a prominent liberal, also weighed in on the Supreme Court’s decision, sharing her thoughts in a lengthy tweet.

Ironically, Obama admitted that she had wondered if people believed she only got into college because of affirmative action.

However, she concluded her statement by emphasizing the importance of equity and fairness.

Tom Elliott, founder and editor-in-chief of Grabien, shared a revealing clip of MSNBC legal analyst Catherine Christian discussing the true purpose of race-based preferences.

Christian questioned how diversity could be achieved without considering race, suggesting that it was necessary to diversify people’s income.

Obama and Christian’s perspectives highlight what some consider to be liberal racism, where affirmative action is seen as a means to divide people based on skin color rather than providing equal opportunities.

Throughout his career, Thomas has developed a keen awareness of this demeaning worldview, as detailed in his autobiography “My Grandfather’s Son” and explored in an essay by Tom Elliott.

Thomas’s experiences have led him to reject the expectations placed upon him as a black man and to fight against the liberal racist mindset.

His efforts to eradicate this mentality echo the sentiments of Frederick Douglass, who also fought against the dehumanizing effects of slavery.

The Supreme Court’s recent ruling is a significant step towards a more equitable admissions process, and Justice Thomas’s long-standing objections continue to resonate in the ongoing debate surrounding affirmative action.
