June Social Security payment worth $994 goes out in 28 days

June 2026 Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments-up to $994-are scheduled to be sent to recipients in about 28 days. SSI checks are generally issued on the first of each month and go to peopel with limited income who are blind, age 65 or older, or have a qualifying disability. Payment amounts vary by eligibility details: individuals may receive up to $994, couples filing jointly up to $1,491, and certain caregivers up to $498. To qualify, recipients must meet income and resource limits, be eligible U.S. citizens (or approved noncitizens), live in the U.S. (including DC or the Northern Mariana Islands), and avoid being outside the country for a full calendar month or 30 consecutive days.
