Joy Behar Gets Torched for Saying Alec Baldwin Was Only Charged With Manslaughter Because He’s a Famous Liberal

Joy Behar is getting backlash from his claim that Alec Baldwin, Hollywood star, was only indicted for manslaughter after the shooting incident that took place on the set of Baldwin’s movie. Rust back in 2021 because he is a high profile liberal that is a target for the right.

Behar Defends Baldwin

“The DA who is indicting him — or whatever the legal term is right now — she’s a big Republican. I’m only saying this because Alec Baldwin is a target for Republicans,” Behar stated Friday that according to Fox News. “They cannot stand him, OK? I’m just saying.” 

Mary Carmack-Altwies is the New Mexico district Attorney that Behar refers to. She is actually a Democrat, who took office in 2021. Daily Mail. She stated last week that Baldwin would be charged for manslaughter over the death cinematographer Halyna Utchins. “he didn’t check [the loaded gun], he didn’t do what he was supposed to do to make sure he was safe or make sure anyone else was safe.”

Baldwin was defended by Behar, 80. He said that he is an actor. “all you’re thinking about is your part.”

“You’re not worried… I was not worried that… my brassiere’s going to fall off me or whatever. Somebody else has to worry about that,” She continued. “You’re interested in your lines, in your character.”

Alyssa Farah Griffin, the token conservative on Behar’s ABC talk show “The View,” Responding, she said that she “strongly agreed” With the applicable charges. 

“In the state of New Mexico, involuntary manslaughter means unintentionally killing someone by being negligent. So negligence alone is the standard that you have to meet,” She spoke. “Guns are used in movies every day and there are processes and steps taken.”

Joy Behar claims that Alec Baldwin was indicted by the New Mexico District attorney on charges of involuntary killing. “a big Republican.”

Behar Gets Backlash

The political commentator Jim Treacher tweeted that there was a swift backlash against Behar. “1. The DA is a Democrat, not a ‘big Republican’ 2. Laws apply to Democrats, even famous ones 3. The other four producers didn’t pull the trigger 4. Joy Behar cares more about her friend’s reputation than the lives of Halyna Hutchins and her loved ones.”

“Joy Behar defends Alec Baldwin,” Nicholas Fondacaro is the head of Media Research Center. “She whines that no other producer was charged. She claims he didn’t and shouldn’t have to check the gun for live rounds.”

Brandon Morse, a conservative pundit, joined the fray by tweeting. “Joy Behar gives a take on the Alec Baldwin case so delusional her co-hosts can’t follow it.”

Baldwin Responds to the Charges

Baldwin held the gun on the set for his movie Rust back in October of 2021 when it went off and killed Hutchins, who was working as a cinematographer on the film’s set. Baldwin has responded to the district attorney’s announcement about charging him by saying that he will fight back.

“This decision distorts Halyna Hutchins’ tragic death and represents a terrible miscarriage of justice,” His lawyer said Deadline. “Mr. Baldwin had no reason to believe there was a live bullet in the gun – or anywhere on the movie set. He relied on the professionals with whom he worked, who assured him the gun did not have live rounds. We will fight these charges, and we will win.”

Behar and Baldwin are both darlings of the radical left, so it’s not surprising that she would have his back in this way. Baldwin might be Behar’s next target, so she may want to clarify her facts.
