Joe Rogan offers $100K challenge to vaccine expert for RFK Jr. debate.

Podcast Host Joe Rogan Challenges Dr. Peter Hotez to a Debate

Joe Rogan, the popular podcast host, has issued a bold challenge to Dr. Peter Hotez, a vaccine scientist, after Hotez criticized Rogan for allowing Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to spread “misinformation” on his show.

Hotez Calls Out Rogan for Allowing Vaccine Misinformation

Dr. Peter Hotez called out Joe Rogan for giving a platform to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on The Joe Rogan Experience, where Kennedy reiterated his controversial beliefs about the COVID-19 vaccine and vaccination in general.

Kennedy’s Controversial Claims

During the episode, Kennedy made several claims, including a story about a mother with an autistic son that changed his views on vaccination, allegations of media censorship against comedians who questioned vaccines, and accusations of pharmaceutical corporations profiting from vaccine distribution.

“Spotify Has Stopped Even Sort of Trying to Stem Joe Rogan’s Vaccine Misinformation,” Hotez tweeted after the episode aired. “It’s really true @annamerlan ⁦⁩just awful. And from all the online attacks I’m receiving after this absurd podcast, it’s clear many actually believe this nonsense.”

Rogan’s $100,000 Challenge

In response to Hotez’s criticism, Joe Rogan offered a $100,000 challenge to Dr. Peter Hotez. Rogan proposed that if Hotez believes Kennedy’s claims are “misinformation,” he should be willing to debate Kennedy on Rogan’s show with no time limit.

Hotez’s Willingness to Speak

Dr. Peter Hotez expressed his willingness to speak with Joe Rogan, but Rogan quickly rejected the vaccine expert’s offer, claiming that Hotez’s response was not serious.

“Be serious Joe, that’s what you throw out for your hunting buddies on a weekend,” Hotez said in a now-deleted tweet, according to Rogan.

Hotez then proposed a $50 million endowment for low-cost patent-free vaccines for the world’s poor, preceded by a public apology from Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

“Joe, you have my cell, my email, I’m always willing to speak with you,” Hotez tweeted.

“This is a non-answer,” Rogan said. “I challenged you publicly because you publicly quote tweeted and agreed with that dogs*** vice article.

“If you’re really serious about what you stand for, you now have a massive opportunity for a debate that will reach the largest audience a discussion like this has ever had. If you think someone else is better qualified, suggest that person.”

Hotez did not provide a direct answer, but instead shared multiple vaccine statistics.

“I’m happy to come on and clear the air. I respect you and your show. I don’t want an adversarial relationship, I think we can work well together,” the vaccine expert tweeted.

“To those misunderstanding what he’s saying, he’s NOT agreeing to debate @RobertKennedyJr,” Rogan clarified. “He’s just offering to come on my show by himself.”

The Online Feud Continues

The feud between Joe Rogan and Dr. Peter Hotez has continued for two days, with various celebrities and online personalities weighing in on the debate.

“He’s afraid of a public debate, because he knows he’s wrong,” Elon Musk replied to Rogan.

Mark Cuban disagreed with Rogan’s call-out and criticized the podcast host for attempting to bully Dr. Hotez.

“You aren’t trying to find the ground truth on vaccines. If you were, you would bring on someone who focused on debating the issue,” Cuban tweeted.

Entrepreneur Patrick Bet-David defended Joe Rogan, arguing that calling him a “bully” was hypocritical considering the pressure many Americans faced to take the vaccine.

As the debate rages on, the public eagerly awaits to see if Dr. Peter Hotez will accept Joe Rogan’s challenge.
