Joe Concha blasts CBS for ‘pattern’ of covering up for Biden-Harris administration
The article discusses Washington Examiner Senior Writer Joe Concha’s criticism of CBS news for allegedly protecting the Biden-Harris management by withholding the full transcript and raw footage of a 2023 *60 Minutes* interview with then-President Joe Biden. Concha appeared on Fox News’s *Hannity* to respond to a *New York Times* report that Biden appeared drowsy and needed prompting during the interview. He argues this behavior reflects a pattern by CBS similar to their prior reluctance to release material from a 2024 *60 Minutes* interview with then-Vice President Kamala Harris, which he says was clearly to protect her ahead of the election. Concha labeled CBS anchor Scott Pelley, who conducted Biden’s interview, as “an absolute hack” for allegedly covering up for Biden. He called on CBS to release the full transcript and unedited video in the interest of transparency, criticizing the network’s credibility compared to its ancient reputation. The article also mentions that CBS’s parent company, Paramount Global, paid former President donald Trump $16 million to settle a lawsuit related to edits made to a *60 Minutes* interview with Kamala Harris, and notes Paramount’s recent merger with skydance Media.
Joe Concha blasts CBS for ‘pattern’ of covering up for Biden-Harris administration
Washington Examiner Senior Writer Joe Concha called on CBS News to release the transcript of a 2023 60 Minutes interview with then-President Joe Biden.
Concha appeared on Fox News’s Hannity on Tuesday to react to a report from the New York Times suggesting that during the interview, “the president had seemed drowsy and had to be prodded to answer.” According to Concha, this was the start of “a pattern.”
“Just as CBS did in resisting for so long to release the video and transcript of [former Vice President] Kamala Harris’s interview on 60 Minutes shortly before the 2024 election — a clear effort to protect her — They appear to have done the same thing with Joe Biden in 2023 in a clear effort to protect him,” Concha said. “Are we seeing a pattern here?”
The interview was conducted by then-CBS anchor Scott Pelley, who was also slated to interview then-Republican Nominee Donald Trump, whose campaign denied that any interview had been scheduled. Concha accused Pelley of “covering up for Biden,” calling him “an absolute hack.”
“Again, CBS must release the full transcript and raw video of that Biden interview in the name of transparency. I know it’s two years after the fact, or else you know what they should change their name like MSNBC did,” Concha said. “Except here you have to take the ‘C’ off of CBS because ‘B.S.’ is all we have at this point. And it once was a proud network of Walter Cronkite.”
IT’S ONLY GETTING WORSE: THE TOP 5 MEDIA FAILS OF TRUMP 2.0
CBS News’s parent company, Paramount Global, paid President Donald Trump $16 million to settle his lawsuit over edits made to a 60 Minutes interview with former Vice President Kamala Harris during her presidential campaign.
Paramount Global has since become Paramount, a Skydance Corporation after receiving approval from the Trump administration to merge with Skydance Media.
