Joe Biden Opens With Ice Cream Jokes Before Addressing Nashville Shooting

On Monday, President Joe Biden spoke at the Nashville education shooting from the White House, rapidly turning the tragedy into a call for tighter gun control. However, he started off by making an ice cream joke.

Biden, who was addressing a group of female business owners in the East Room, made light of the fact that he had just joined them after learning there would be ice creams.

My name is Joe Biden, by the way. I’m married to Dr. Jill Biden. And I consume Jeni’s chocolate chip ice creams. I heard there was dessert device ice cream, so I went home, he said. ” By the way, home is a refrigerator that is completely full. You believe I’m joking, right? I’m neither.

Biden remarked,” It’s ill.” ” It’s painful. The worst horror of a family.

Gun crime is tearing our societies apart and the spirit of this country, so we need to do more to avoid it, said Biden.

He continued, noting that the shooter in this particular case had been armed with two semi-automatic rifles and a pistol,” And we need to do more to secure our school so they aren’t turned into prison.” He also urged Congress to enact an assault weapons ban.

After learning that Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream was taking part in the female-owned market event, Biden later returned to the subject of ice creams.

You know it’s really harsh when you’ve been in public life for as long as I have and you know for two elements: chocolate chip ice cream and Ray-Ban glasses, but what the devil? Biden continued,” And by the way, it is beautiful.”
