A member of Jill BidenS Secret Service detail shot himself in the leg Friday morning at Philadelphia International Airport during a protective assignment, in what the Secret Service described as a negligent discharge while handling a service weapon. There was no impact to the protectee’s movement, and Jill Biden was not present at the time. The agent is in stable condition and being evaluated,wiht a medical unit responding to the scene. The secret Service said there will be an internal review by the Office of professional Obligation.

A member of former first lady Jill Biden‘s Secret Service detail reportedly shot himself in the leg on Friday while she was traveling through Philadelphia International Airport.
“On Friday morning just after 8:30, an on-duty U.S. Secret Service Special Agent suffered a non-life-threatening injury following a negligent discharge while handling a service weapon at the Philadelphia International Airport during a protective assignment,” the Secret Service said in a statement. “There was no impact to the protectee’s movement and they were not present at the time of the incident.
The agency said no other injuries were reported, and the agent is being evaluated, but in “stable condition.”
There will be a review of the incident by the Secret Service’s Office of Professional Responsibility.
A medical unit responded to the scene, but has since left, followed by a police car, according to the Daily Mail.
