Jerry Nadler faces criticism for asserting that ‘Men don’t participate in women’s sports
Rep. Jerry Nadler Faces Backlash Over Women’s Sports Claim
Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) found himself in hot water on Thursday following his controversial statement during a House hearing that “men do not compete in women’s sports.”
A Fierce Exchange
Nadler’s assertion came as a response to Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-WY) presenting a list of instances where men had taken over women’s sporting events.
Rep Hageman: “I ask for unanimous consent to submit for the record instances of men hijacking women’s sports”
Rep Nadler: ”I object to concluding these mistruths in the record”
This is an attempt to erase and rewrite history. Make no mistake, Nadler is a grade-A communist. pic.twitter.com/lakg4WccbB

In an intense back-and-forth, Hageman highlighted instances of men overshadowing women’s sports, to which Nadler denied. He reiterated his stance, stating, “Men do not compete in women’s sports.”

Who wants to tell him about Lia Thomas — a man, who has competed in women’s sports. @Riley_Gaines_? pic.com/LLjUTzD1jJ

Pointing Out Hypocrisy
Critics, including former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines, highlighted the case of Lia Thomas, a transgender swimmer who competed against biological women in a championship.
Ironic he says this on the EXACT 2 year anniversary of this photo being taken. This 6’4″ man isn’t fooling anyone with any amount of common sense. https://t.co/D0xnL1kfL9 pic.com/jqouIQWCxC

Riley Gaines highlighted the irony of Nadler’s statement on the anniversary of a significant event involving Lia Thomas in women’s sports.
Clarifying the Issue
Rep. Hageman further emphasized the importance of biological gender segregation in sports, opposing Nadler’s broad perspective on gender in competitive arenas.
It’s even worse. Now he’s telling our committee that there are more than two sexes. You’re either a male or a female, and you should compete against your biological gender in sports. https://t.co/pRA9Xty8A1

The controversy around gender identity in sports has even inspired The Daily Wire’s comedic film “Lady Ballers,” highlighting the ongoing debate.
