Jeremy Renner Provides Updates to Fans With a Selfie Taken from Hospital Bed after a Snowplow Incident

Actor Jeremy Renner shared an update with fans on Tuesday following an accident in which a Snowcat reportedly ran over his leg on New Year’s Day.

In a short Instagram post, the actor thanked his fans and shared a photo showing how one half of his face was severely bruised from the snowplow accident.

“Thank you all for your kind words,” Renner captioned Renner’s post. “Im [sic] too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all.” He also posted a prayer hand emoji.

This was the first social media post by the Marvel star after news broke that he had been hurt while clearing snow from his Nevada driveway. He was airlifted to the nearest hospital.

A spokesperson claimed that Renner was being interviewed Monday. “in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier today,” Deadline reported. “His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care.”

Washoe County Sheriff’s Office public information officer Kristin Vietti said, “Upon arrival, deputies coordinated with Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and REMSA Health to arrange for medical transport of Jeremy Renner via care flight to a local area hospital” As previously stated, he lives about 25 miles from Reno. reported.

Renner’s family later confirmed that he had “suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries and has undergone surgery today, January 2nd 2023,” People reported. “He has returned from surgery and remains in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition.”

On Tuesday evening, Renner’s publicist, Samantha Mast, said “The Hurt Locker” Star is making progress, but is still in the ICU. CNN reported.

“Jeremy is making positive progress and is awake, talking and in good spirits,” Mast shares. “He remains in ICU in critical but stable condition. He is overwhelmed by the showing of love and support. The family asks for your continued thoughts while he heals with his close loved ones.”
