Jameela Jamil Shares Details Of Anal Injury She Received From ‘She-Hulk’ Stunts

Jameela Jamil is getting real about some of the injuries she suffered while doing her own stunts on the set of “She-Hulk: Attorney At Law,” including the very personal ones.

The 36-year-old actress spoke with Entertainment Tonight at the Hollywood premiere of the much-hyped Disney+ series. The Marvel superhero show includes Jamil playing Titania, a social media influencer with super-human strength who becomes She-Hulk’s nemesis.

“I was hurting in places that I really didn’t know exists [sic],” Jamil told ET of performing fight scenes in the series. “Like, you’ll probably have to bleep this out, but I pulled a muscle in my a**hole,” she continued. “I didn’t know that was possible.”

“I just felt my publicist’s heart stop beating next to me,” the actress said with a laugh after making the confession.

“I don’t know how much of it ever gets to make it to the big screen, because CGI is bonkers,” Jamil said. “But I got to do all my stunts pretty much myself! And that was something I’ve never done before, because I’m the ultimate couch potato. I am just a puddle with bangs,” she concluded.

So far, critical reviews for “She-Hulk” are mixed. The Daily Beast called it “Marvel trash at its most offensive,” while a Slash Film critic wrote that it had “distracting CGI, hit-or-miss humor, and a flippant approach to complex topics.” 

“What could have been a groundbreaking series for the MCU is instead shaping up to be one of the weakest entries into the Marvel TV canon yet,” the Slash Film reviewer said. 

Meanwhile, Forbes noted that the series was being “review bombed” by users just like “Ms. Marvel” due to the series featuring female characters, writers, and directors. 

Bad reviews aren’t the only controversy plaguing the new Disney+ offering. “She-Hulk: Attorney At Law” is getting slammed online for using benches with allegedly “anti-homeless architecture” as part of their promotional push. 

“Why does the she-hulk bench have anti-homeless architecture,” one fan on Twitter asked in a now-viral post that has more than 140,000 likes, The Daily Wire originally reported.

“The actual She-Hulk would find every one of these anti-homeless benches in town and crush them flat with her super strong a** to make them more accessible once again,” another person shared.

“Out of all the other, non-hostile, benches that Marvel could have chosen to use for their ad, they chose the one that hates poor people,” a third person wrote.
