Tapper: Trump’s claim on Hunter’s foreign deals was accurate, while Biden was mistaken.
CNN’s Jake Tapper Admits Trump Was Right About Hunter Biden’s Foreign Business Deals
In a surprising turn of events, CNN’s Jake Tapper acknowledged that Donald Trump was correct and Joe Biden was wrong regarding Hunter Biden’s foreign business deals. This revelation came during a roundtable discussion on the ongoing scandal surrounding the president and his administration.
Tapper began the segment by referencing a Washington Post article that revealed Hunter Biden’s substantial income from Chinese and Ukrainian interests, totaling millions of dollars. This information directly contradicted Joe Biden’s previous claims during the 2020 presidential debate.
“And this directly goes against what Joe Biden said in the debate in 2020 with Donald Trump,” Tapper stated before playing a clip of Biden denying his son’s involvement in Chinese business dealings. Meanwhile, Trump insisted that Hunter had made a fortune in Ukraine, China, and Moscow.
“Trump was right,” Tapper admitted. “I mean, [Hunter] did make a fortune from China, and Joe Biden was wrong. I don’t know that he was lying about it. He might not have been told by Hunter, but this blind spot is a problem.”

Republican Memo Reveals Hunter Biden’s Financial Connections
According to a memo released by Republicans on the House Oversight Committee, bank records indicate that oligarchs from Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan paid millions of dollars to Hunter Biden, his Rosemont Seneca entities, and his business partner Devon Archer. Some of these payments were for work services, such as Hunter’s board role at Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings, while others remain unclear.
Oversight Chairman James Comer highlighted the lack of actual services provided, suggesting that the payments were made for access to the Biden network, including Joe Biden himself. Comer pointed to meals at Café Milano in Washington, D.C., where then-Vice President Joe Biden dined with oligarchs who had sent money to his son.

In recent testimony before the House Oversight Committee, Devon Archer confirmed that Joe Biden attended dinners with Hunter’s business partners. However, Archer stated that these interactions did not involve any significant discussions or calls with Hunter’s associates. He did emphasize the influence of the Biden family “brand” in their business ventures.
