Jake Reiner sat for an interview with ABC7 Los Angeles on Thursday, delving into how his surviving family has grieved during the past several months since his parents’ deaths.
“I got to be honest. I mean, it’s been eight months — it feels like eight years at the same time, and it also feels like eight minutes because every moment that I wake up, I’m reminded of my reality. And you’re living through that every single day,” Jake Reiner told the outlet.
The eldest Reiner son also spoke about his siblings, saying he learned of his parents’ passing from his younger sister, Romy Reiner, the youngest of the three siblings.
“Romy told me our dad was dead, and then she said, ‘I can’t find Mom,’” Jake Reiner said.
He also described how his family shifted drastically after his parents were found dead in December.
“It’s like I physically lost my parents, and then Nick was arrested, and it’s like now it’s just me and Romy,” Jake Reiner told the outlet.
