Israel Airdrops Flyers with Warning to Citizens of Gaza Strip - Report
Israel has taken an unconventional approach to warn the citizens of the Gaza Strip as it prepares for a ground war. According to the Associated Press, Israeli planes have been airdropping flyers in Beit Lahiya, urging residents to seek refuge in recognized shelters. The flyers also emphasize the danger of being near Hamas terrorists and the importance of following the instructions of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to ensure their safety.
Despite these warnings, the area had already been attacked prior to the distribution of the flyers. Isaac Herzog, the President of Israel, defended the attacks on residential areas used by Hamas to launch rockets into Israel, asserting that Israel has the right to defend itself against such threats.
Israel’s Energy Minister, Israel Katz, affirmed that Israel will not release its grip on Gaza until all the hostages taken in the Hamas attack are freed. Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari of the IDF emphasized that the upcoming assault is not solely about punishing a few leaders, but about completely eradicating Hamas.
Despite the impending ground invasion, Hamas remains defiant. Senior Hamas official Moussa Abu Marzouk stated that although they cannot confront Israeli fighter jets from the skies, they have strong fighters on the ground who can handle any threat.
The situation in the Gaza Strip remains tense as Israel prepares for further action. The airdropped flyers serve as a precautionary measure to inform residents of the dangers and provide them with guidance on how to stay safe during the conflict.
