Is America Committing Suicide?
Many Americans simply do not recognize the cancerous ideology slowly infecting our country.
No, I am not talking about exaggerated warnings, radical craziness, or spitting out bold lies.
No, I am not making incredulous claims that humanity will reach the point of no return in a few years for the latest global-calamity-du-jour.
No, I am not saying that defunding the police or removing their immunity will lead to peace in our cities.
I am going to state in the fairest terms possible a perspective that must be taken seriously.
I am talking about the culture of America based on a unique model of governance and individual merit to create the most wealth, the greatest freedoms, the most unbelievable innovations, and built a society with enviable success beyond anyone’s imagination in just a few winks of time during the history of all mankind.
Yes, it is true. America has created unimaginable wealth, cured intractable diseases, advanced the most inventions ever conceived, advanced technology on Earth and in Space, and from the beginning fought for social justice at home and abroad.
We did it in about 250 years. Mankind, itself, is nearly 3 million years old.
Yet even with this backdrop, America is still an imperfect union striving to earn improvement every day.
It appears, however, that we have arrived at an impasse.
Again, in fairness and without hyperbole, we are convulsing on such notions as Cancel Culture, Political Correctness, Systemic Racism, Intersectionality, Woke-ism, Equality vs. Equity, Critical Race Theory, White Fragility, and Whiteness.
Any one of these is an arguably silly, laughable notion, but admittedly a destructive poison used to spread fear, anger, ignorance, and upheaval. Democrats call it “transformation”. Remember, ironically, they are the party of slavery, supported the left-liberal fascists, and filibustered against the Civil Rights Bill.
It hurts all of us for the satisfaction of a few. Left unchecked, it metastasizes to kill the culture that is a proven model and greatest experiment in the continuum of human endeavor.
Who are the protagonists? It includes those ignorant youths who prefer free stuff, it includes the rich, elitists, and celebrities who can afford to provide for themselves that which they will deny others. It includes those who want the government to take care of them, and those who resist the core values of family, belief in God, a strong work ethic, risk-taking, persistence, self-reliance, independence, and delayed gratification.
These values helped drive our progress for individual pursuit of happiness with freedom. You have corporations who want cheap labor at the expense of human dignity, greedy career politicians who maneuver for power and position with corrupt greed, a government bureaucracy that feeds on the incompetence, inefficiency, and ineffectiveness of “Big Government”.
We have some unions which are self-interested at the expense of their very purpose. Educational institutions with bloated administrations discriminate at will and overcharge students knowing the government can give them critical loans that feed the cycle of increasing tuitions and indebtedness.
Too many have no problem with government subsidies, with a growing dependency on the government to nurture them while not being focused on achievement. At the same time, they have no sense for the price they pay when they attach the government’s umbilical cord.
How insidious is the problem? Take the idea of “Universal Income”, add the contribution of “Equity” (not equality) which creates “Racist Socialism” at the expense of Federal taxpayers (only about half of working Americans) that will enable oligarchical control of everyone resulting in Bigger Government, fewer rights, higher taxes, dwindling freedoms while destroying the concepts of work ethic, initiative, self-reliance, and individual meritorious achievements.
Democrats in charge are not enabling the creation of wealth but intend on taking more of it than ever before.
The Big Government machine must be fed. To do that power-hungry Democrats, and compliant Republicans, with Democratic control of all three branches of our government have a reckless disregard for financial sanity. No matter – hike taxes and print the money to give it away to those who will vote for them.
The flow through the umbilical cord is strong enough to cripple the initiative of those who would chase the American Dream and instead will rely on the new American Nanny State.
The time will come when the system crashes, like so many democratic-socialist, Marxist, Communist countries. History’s manure pile of failed states includes the USSR, North Korea, Venezuela, Argentina, Germany, Cuba, and too many countries in Africa and the sub-continent. Remember Greece?
Again, a growing segment of our society in America still thinks expanded socialism is a winning formula but avoids the stinking truth. In progression from democracy to a republic, we are on the path to Marxism, Fascism, Socialism, and finally Communism and dictatorship.
To solidify control by one political party, efforts will be made to circumvent our Constitution, especially the First and Second Amendments. Other changes planned: pack the court system and Supreme Court, end the Senate filibuster or sidestep it with budget reconciliation, open borders, show leniency to “criminals as victims” without regard for tragic loss while blaming police, control election outcomes with ballot harvesting, disregard voter ID, treat minorities as majorities and show careless disregard for middle/working-class citizens favoring illegals.
Most sinister of all, as inferred by President Biden in his first press conference, destroy the Republican Party itself and fill the Democratic government with left-liberal radicals. The executive branch will become autocratic.
Supporting all this will be continued hypocritical, corrupt, and criminal actions that will leave hard-working Americans breathless. Politicians who practice what is good for them but is not good for you.
None of this is an exaggeration or a misinterpretation of what is happening right now. The examples reveal themselves nearly every day for those who will open their eyes.
America’s decision: take back its control of the government in the elections of 2022 or become slaves to a One-Party System.
The Founding Fathers warned us about this.
It is simply perverse.
