‘In Today’s Democrat Party, How Do We Know She Doesn’t?’ Cruz Mocks Elizabeth Warren’s Alleged ‘Penis’ Story

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) mocked Massachusetts Democratic senator and former presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren after a new book claimed that following her third-place finish in the 2020 Iowa Caucus, she complained, “Everyone comes up to me and says, ‘I would vote for you, if you had a penis.’”

NBC News correspondent Ali Vitali states in her new book, “Electable: Why America Hasn’t Put a Woman in the White House … Yet,” that Warren complained to her on a plane following the Iowa caucuses.

Cruz ridiculed Warren on Saturday at the seventh annual Basque Fry in Gardnerville, Nevada, as he said, “We need courage responding to crazy town. I don’t know if you saw it this week: Elizabeth Warren told reporters that a guy came up to her and said, ‘I would have voted for you if only you had a penis.’”

“Now let me say two things about that,” Cruz declared. “Number one: That story is a lie. Produce this fictional person ’cause this human being does not exist.”

Referencing Warren’s infamous past assertion that she had Cherokee blood when a DNA test later revealed her to be between 1/64th and 1/1,024th Native American, Cruz asserted of Warren’s supposed claim in Vitali’s book, “That is not even 1/1024 true.”

In 1986, Warren claimed she was “American Indian” on a registration card for the State Bar of Texas.

Vox wrote in 2018 that Warren had “consistently stated that her mother is part Cherokee.”

Cruz segued to the current agenda of the Democratic Party as he quipped about Warren’s penis story: “But number two: In today’s Democrat Party, how do we know she doesn’t? … How could you possibly know? ‘My name is Elizabeth, call me Bob, this is my beer.’”

He added in an aside that referred to transgender University of Pennsylvania swimmer Lia Thomas, who dominated women in NCAA events, “By the way, most Americans know this is ridiculous. Lia Thomas is a dude. He looks like Michael Phelps and has arms longer than anyone else.”

After the news of Warren’s DNA results broke, Cherokee Nation Secretary of State Chuck Hoskin Jr. issued this statement: “Using a DNA test to lay claim to any connection to the Cherokee Nation or any tribal nation, even vaguely, is inappropriate and wrong. It makes a mockery out of DNA tests and its legitimate uses while also dishonoring legitimate tribal governments and their citizens, whose ancestors are well documented and whose heritage is proven.”

Rebecca Nagle, an indigenous writer, echoed, “No native tribe acknowledges DNA testing as a source for citizenship or even claim to native heritage. She comes from a well-documented line of white people and so there is ample evidence that all of her ancestors are documented white people on the census rolls, by their marriage and birth and death certificates since going back before the Trail of Tears.”
