Rocker Ozzy Osbourne, known for his legendary performances, has announced that he will not be able to make his planned appearance at Power Trip in October. This decision comes as a result of ongoing concerns about his health.

Osbourne, who is 74 years old, revealed in 2020 that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease back in 2003. Since then, he has faced various health-related issues and has been seen using a cane for stability.

Expressing his disappointment, Osbourne took to social media to share his decision. He wrote, “As painful as this is, I’ve had to make the decision to bow out of performing on Power Trip in October. My original plan was to return to the stage in the summer of 2024, and when the offer to do this show came in, I optimistically moved forward.”

However, Osbourne acknowledged that his body is not ready yet for such a demanding performance. He stated, “Unfortunately, my body is telling me that I’m just not ready yet and I am much too proud to have the first show that I do in nearly five years be half-assed.” He assured his fans that a band of personal friends will be announced as his replacement, promising an unforgettable experience.

Osbourne concluded his message with gratitude towards his fans, band, and crew for their unwavering support. He expressed his love for them all and assured that he will be back soon. “God Bless, Ozzy,” he signed off.

Power Trip Music Festival and Osbourne’s Retirement

Power Trip is a highly anticipated music festival set to take place in Indio, California. The original lineup included renowned bands such as AC/DC, Guns’n’Roses, Metallica, Tool, and Iron Maiden, alongside Osbourne.

Despite his decision to retire from touring, which he announced earlier this year, Osbourne had planned to make a comeback on stage. However, concerns about his health have continued to grow, leading to his cancellation of the Power Trip appearance.

Back in February, Osbourne shared a heartfelt message with his loyal fans, expressing his realization that he is not physically capable of fulfilling his upcoming European/UK tour dates. He mentioned exploring alternative performance options that would not require extensive travel.
