Idaho Murder Victim Had Moved Out Of House Before Slayings, Was Just Visiting For Weekend

The parents of University of Idaho made a shocking revelation over the weekend. murder Kaylee Goncalves, victim, said that their daughter had moved out of the home where she and three others were killed. She had only been visiting the family for the weekend.

Kristi and Steve Goncalves told Dateline revealed that Madison Mogen (21), Ethan Chapin (20), Xana Kernodle (20), and Madison Mogen (20) no longer lived in the house where they were living. They were murdered on the morning of November 13, 2022. The Goncalves claimed that their daughter was planning to graduate from college and move to Austin, Texas to take up a position with an IT company. Kaylee visited Mogen that weekend but returned to the house on Saturday.

“These girls were best friends since sixth grade, like inseparable,” Kristi Goncalves spoke on Dateline.

Kristi said that the girls were a great addition to her family. “were true, ultimate best friends” And “Maddie had been a huge part of our life.”

Goncalves, who had just bought a Range Rover, wanted to show Mogen the car and have a good time with her best friend.

“That was the last time that I saw Kaylee,” Kristi shared Dateline.

The suspect in the murder of the four students was seen again in court on Thursday. He waived his right at a speedy preliminary trial and promised through his attorney that he would challenge the evidence against his.

According to Daily Wire policy the suspect is 28 years old and faces four counts of first degree murder and one count felony burglary. He was held without bail until his next court date, which is scheduled for June 26.

Megan Marshall, Latah County Magistrate, announced that there would be “no bail at this point in time pending further proceedings.” She also asked the suspect if he understood the charges against him and that waiving his right to a speedy preliminary hearing meant he couldn’t challenge the delay at a future date.

Fox News reports that the reason for his delay is to allow his attorneys to collect evidence to contest the charges against he. reported.

He has yet to enter a plea and is waiting to see if the state of Idaho will pursue death penalty proceedings against him. His attorneys have stated that he is likely not to plead guilty. Law & Crime reported.

Richard Skiles, Sheriff of Latah County told NewsNation that he hadn’t heard anything out of the ordinary about the suspect’s behavior in jail. He did say, however, that jail officials are trying to accommodate the suspect’s vegan diet, “but we are not going to buy new pots and pans or anything like that.”
