ICE arrests Brazilian undocumented immigrant charged with multiple counts of aggravated child rape
ICE, under the Biden administration, apprehended a 53-year-old Brazilian illegal immigrant indicted for aggravated child rape. Despite being authorized to stay in the U.S. only until 2002, he remained unlawfully and was removed in 2008. However, he reentered the country. The individual’s identity was not disclosed by the administration, raising concerns about public safety and immigration enforcement.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested an illegal alien from Brazil who was released back into the community in a Democrat-controlled area after being indicted on multiple felony counts of aggravated child rape.
The Biden administration did not release the name of the illegal alien and blurred his face in photos released by ICE on Friday.
The 53-year-old Brazilian first came into the U.S. in 2001 and was authorized to stay until 2002. He failed to leave and several years later in 2007, he was placed into removal proceedings but bonded out of court.
“On Feb. 12, 2008, a Department of Justice (DOJ) immigration judge in Boston granted the Brazilian national voluntary departure from the United States to Brazil. The DOJ immigration judge gave him until June 11, 2008, to depart the country,” ICE said in a statement. “He voluntarily departed the United States June 6, 2008. However, he unlawfully reentered the United States on an unknown date and at an unknown location without being inspected, admitted or paroled by a U.S. immigration official.”
The Everett Police Department arrested him in December 2021 on five counts of aggravated rape of a child by joint enterprise; one count of aggravated rape of a child-five year age difference; four counts of aggravated rape of a child-10 year age difference; one count of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14; and one count of obscene material to minor, ICE said.
The agency lodged a detainer request against the suspect so he could be deported, but the Middlesex Superior Court did not comply with the request and released him back into the community.
“This Brazilian national has been charged with some horrific and disturbing crimes,” said ERO Boston Field Office Director Todd M. Lyons. “This is certainly not the type of person that we want interacting freely with the children of our neighborhoods. ERO Boston will continue to work tirelessly to arrest and remove noncitizen child sex predators from our New England communities.”
