‘I Don’t Think Murder Fixes A Rape’: Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon Debates Joe Rogan On Abortion Stance

Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon stood firm on his pro-life convictions during a recent appearance on “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, even when Rogan pressed him on abortion due to rape and teen pregnancies.

“You don’t have the right to tell my 14-year-old daughter she has to carry her rapist’s baby,” Rogan said during the episode.

Thank you @SethDillon for standing for the human right to life—without exception—on @joerogan‘s show today.@joerogan, let’s talk. I think we would find a lot of common ground on protecting families, fighting censorship, and pursuing a meaningful life. pic.twitter.com/StlfgNxARo

“To look that woman in the eye, who was the victim of rape …” Dillon replied.

“Do you understand that? That’s a 14-year-old child. A 14-year-old child gets raped, you say that they have to carry that baby?” Rogan interjects.

“I don’t think two wrongs make a right,” Dillon says. “I don’t think that murder is the answer to … I don’t think murder fixes a rape.”

Rogan then changed track, asking the Babylon Bee CEO how he feels about early abortions at “four weeks, six weeks,” when a woman has just discovered that she’s pregnant. “What if she just turned positive?” he asked.

“Well, I just disagree that you can draw a line on when. Once life has begun, I don’t think you draw lines,” Dillon answered. “I would lay it out like this, I would say: it is wrong to intentionally kill an innocent human life. Abortion intentionally kills an innocent human life. Therefore, abortion is wrong.”

The two established that Dillon believes human life begins at “the moment of conception” when the sperm fertilizes the egg.

At another point in the conversation, Dillon clarified his stance even more. “When we start talking about harmful misinformation … what about calling that baby a clump of cells? I think that’s harmful misinformation. Because then you’re encouraging people to kill it like it’s nothing when it’s actually a human life.”

“I think abortion is healthcare the way that rape is lovemaking,” Dillon continued. “If we want to use rape as an example. I think they’re opposites. These are euphemisms that we use. It’s like, we use the word healthcare. We’re talking about a procedure that ends an innocent human life, and we’re calling it healthcare? That’s why it’s like calling rape lovemaking.”

“And that’s why it’s such a human issue, because I see what you’re saying,” Rogan replied.

Pro-life advocates praised how Dillon remained calm under pressure, even when faced with some of the toughest situations to defend. “Thank you @SethDillon for standing for the human right to life — without exception — on @JoeRogan’s show today,” Lila Rose tweeted along with a clip of the interaction.

“This is incredible conviction, clarity, and courage by @SethDillon. He defends the pro-life position on one of the largest media platforms in the world as Joe keeps pressing him,” another person agreed.
