Tomi Lahren dismisses Hunter Biden plea as deceptive.
EXCLUSIVE — Tomi Lahren: Hunter Biden’s Guilty Plea a “Lot of Smoke and Mirrors”
Conservative commentator Tomi Lahren dismissed the news of Hunter Biden’s guilty plea to federal charges as “a lot of smoke and mirrors.” The Justice Department recently announced a deal with President Joe Biden’s son regarding tax crimes and the purchase of a handgun during his time as a drug user.
“If this isn’t an example of a two-tiered system of justice, I don’t know what is. The fact that this is what they’ve come up with,” Lahren told the Washington Examiner. “That’s not what we care about, and we don’t even care about necessarily Hunter taking money from foreign entities. We care how this ties back to the Oval Office and then previously the vice presidency.”
“This feels like a lot of smoke and mirrors,” she added. “But it’s still a nothing-burger, and the investigation continues into ‘the Big Guy.'”
Lahren believes that the plea deal is a way for the Democratic Party and the Department of Justice to counter Republican criticism regarding charges against former President Donald Trump. She also suggests that it serves as a distraction from the ongoing investigations by the House Oversight Committee, which allege a “criminal bribery scheme” between Biden and Ukrainian owner of Burisma, Mykola Zlochevsky.
“I think, to me, the most frustrating part is that James Comer, Jim Jordan, and Oversight [Committee], they have put forth so much evidence saying, ‘Look, guys. It’s quite obvious here that Joe Biden has something to do with this,’ and the mainstream media turns the other cheek,” Lahren said. “If Joe Biden has been, in fact, engaged in pay-to-play bribery schemes for the last nine to 10 years, the implications of that are really damaging, and I’m disappointed that the American people don’t understand that better.”
Today marks one year since Lahren debuted her show, “Tomi Lahren is Fearless,” on the digital streaming platform Outkick. Lahren values the opportunity to connect with young conservatives in the digital space.
