Hunter Biden Associate Was Then-VP Biden’s Close Confidant and Counsel

Fox News reports on Schwerin Hunter Biden was contacted by Schwerin on February 18, concerning a recommendation Schwerin had written for himself, through Joe Biden. “Can you take a quick look at the attached? I am going to send it to your Dad (via Kathy) tomorrow and wanted to make sure you think this isn’t too over the top and that you think your Dad would be comfortable sending it.” 

“I am not good at writing these things,” Schwerin added. “Kathy” Kathy Chung is the executive assistant of the vice president.

Schwerin sent Hunter Biden an email on February 19 asking if he had analyzed the letter. Biden replied. “Haven’t looked yet.” 

Hunter Biden responded on February 22 and stated that the recommendation was “good” But he should “tone down the ‘he (Schwerin) and my son’ parts.”

Hunter wrote “I think it’s better to just focus on the fact that you have been a close confidant and counsel to him and just say somewhere something like ‘as a business partner with my son at Rosemont Seneca.'” Hunter was responsive.

Schwerin later thanked Hunter Biden and stated that he had received his reply. “was trying to make sure the reader understood there was a real relationship (and) that it wasn’t just a letter he was writing for a friend of a friend or something.”

One email can be referred to “CFR,” Fox Reports suggests that it could be the Council on Foreign Relations. However, the exchange didn’t explicitly mention the institution for which the recommendation was made, or if it was successful.

Another Recent revelations Hunter’s laptop showed that Schwerin had been assigned to move 1,850 boxes of documents from the White House office of then-Vice President Biden to a University of Delaware location.

The GOP-led House Oversight Committee opened an investigation into possible corruption within the Biden family. This probe will focus on influence peddling, profiteering, and especially his overseas business dealings. 

In April 2022,  House Committee on Oversight and Reform Republicans asked Schwerin about a Joe Biden tax refund check that he allegedly transferred to his son. Schwerin wrote to Hunter Biden in 2010 and said that: “Your Dad’s Delaware tax refund check came today. I am depositing it in his account and writing a check in that amount back to you since he owes it to you.  Don’t think I need to run it by him, but if you want to go ahead.  If not, I will deposit tomorrow.”

Fox reports that Hunter Biden’s ex-wife Kathleen Buhle claimed Schwerin “managed almost every aspect” Hunter Biden’s entire life.
