House Republicans have subpoenaed Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s former business partner, in their probe of the Biden family’s foreign business dealings. Archer, a convicted fraudster, played a significant role in the Biden family’s business deals abroad, including but not limited to China, Russia, and Ukraine.

Archer was on the board of the Ukrainian gas company Burisma along with Biden. Joe Biden was involved in policy on Ukraine at the time, and House Republicans are probing any possible corruption.

Archer was called to testify in May in Hunter Biden’s ongoing child support case in Arkansas. Archer was also convicted last year of defrauding a Native American tribe out of millions.

Other Investigations Involving Hunter Biden

  • The Justice Department is investigating the purchase of a firearm Biden made while using drugs, which is a federal offense.
  • He’s also at the center of a probe by the Internal Revenue Service over his taxes. That investigation has lasted five years, which even CNN admitted is noteworthy.
  • Two whistleblowers have come forward from the IRS to say Biden is receiving special treatment in the investigation.

The first whistleblower, Gary Shapley, came forward in April and claimed that the Biden administration is showing “preferential treatment” toward the president’s son and holding back in the investigation. He also alleged that Attorney General Merrick Garland gave misleading testimony in March when he said that the U.S. attorney in Delaware, who has been in charge of the Biden probe since 2018, has been allowed to proceed without interference.
