House Republicans Accuse Biden White House of Creating “Authoritarian-Style” Digital Dollar

President Joe Biden and his Administration are trying to build an “authoritarian-style” “surveillance-style” House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R.Minn.), warned Tuesday that the digital U.S. dollars could be obtained through executive orders.

A four-term congressman introduced recently the CBDC Anti-Surveillance State Act. “unelected bureaucrats” Washington prohibits the issuing of a digital currency central bank that critics claim could reduce Americans’ financial privacy rights.

The bill is co-sponsored by several Republican lawmakers, including Rep. Andy Biggs (R.Ariz.) as well as Rep. Young Kim, (R.Calif.). It would also require that the Federal Reserve be held responsible for any research or development of a digital dollars.
